Time to start my official first blog post in 2012......

Time flies, we are already in the second month of 2012. The year started out being a busy one for me i guess. Anyway, what else could it be? It is obviously about my final year project(FYP). My group and i started the year finishing up with our FYP report which was due on 18 january. It was a rush as we managed to finish up with our report during that 2 weeks when the year started off. One of my group members like to do last minute work and on the day of submission, we really finished our report and printed them out plus binding and burning of the cds at about close to 12noon which is the deadline cut off timing. A sign of relief for all of us after handing up our FYP report. Anyway, after handing up the FYP report, it is back to doing assignment report and presentatation. After the busy week, it is Chinese New Year again with what is a long weekend, what a start to the new year of 2012 for me i guess.

Chinese New Year(CNY) was not celebrated by me again for the second year as i opted to follow the traditions of the old and not celebrate CNY for 3 years since the passing of my mum. Although according to the modern days, people don't really follow the traditions and the tradition changed from3 years to only 1 year. Anyway, for me, this CNY i spent the public holidays working at universal studios for the second time again which is the same as last year. Besides the eve of CNY where i spent having dinner with the rest of my family members, i went to visit my grandma after work during the first day of CNY and as for the second day of CNY, went to have dinner with my brother and father as they came to look for me after my work in sentosa. On the third day of CNY, it was declared a holiday in my school and i spent the day resting and relaxing after working for 2 days. I also visited my mum at kong meng temple before heading for my grandma's place as i chatted with her for quite a few hours and having dinner there before going home.

Finally on the fourth day of CNY which i did not have any classes but needed to go back school to finish our FYP presentation slides as we needed to present it the very next week. Time to chiong again for our FYP as our group worked hard doing up the FYP slides and the making of the prototype that needs to be shown during the FYP presentation. Our FYP group really worked hard all the way till the end of our FYP presentation and with some luck and help from one of the lecturers in school of design, we managed to come out with the prototype to be presented.

After the whole FYP presentation, the comments given by the lecturers really warmed our hearts and let us feel that all the sacrifices made were worthwhile and a huge burden was dropped after nearly 1 year since we embarked on this FYP journey. We were overjoyed and relieved as our efforts were recognised by the panel of lecturers.

Anyway, we celebrated with some of our classmates which is yesterday where we had a delicious dinner at bugis area. It is great time spent together, one of the few times where me and my poly friends actually hang out together.

Ya, beside school, i had a major gathering with my 18 of Universal studios(USS) work friends as well just this past sunday. We had this major gathering where we celebrated 3 of my friends' birthdays(calista, ying fang and wee kiong) with a farewell as well as one of my friends, calista who is furthering her studies in australia and will be leaving soon in a few weeks time. These kind of major gathering with so many people seems rare as it comes only a few times in a year. Anyway, in this kind of major gathering, i guess i had always enjoyed the time that is being spent. I guess i always feel closer to my USS friends more than my poly friends and 1 of the reasons is because we had more gatherings where we would have fun together always. Haha!!!

Going on, my resolutions for the year 2012, after being SINGLE for so long, i longed for a breakthrough, will i get that breakthrough this year? Chances are never high i guess as i failed for so many years in my entire life up to now. One word decribes this feeling and status for being SINGLE for so long and for me, this word is SIAN!!!!!!!

Second resolution is about my studies, after so long, i finally decided on whether to continue my studies and a choice was made by me recently where i choose to study in a 2-year course for an honours degree in food and human nutrition at Singapore instutite of technology. For this, i hope to be lucky enough to get a place to study in this course in this year of 2012.

Not anymore resolutions which i can think of now. Just hope these 2 resolutions can be fulfilled in this wonderful year of the dragon!!! Hooo!!!! Cheers!!! Till my next blog post............................

My reflections for 2011

2011 ended yesterday and today is the first day of a brand new year 2012. Time to do some reflections as to what i had achieved or done for past year i guess. Haha!!!

Feels like 2011 is another year of studying for me. Anyway, the highlights of it is quite the main bulk n most happening year of my poly education i guess. I started the 6-week industrial attachment in a vegetable oil company after ending my exams n poly year 2 in mid march. Meanwhile i was also in line to go to Dalian, China to start my poly year 3 which i applied for. During the short industrial attachment, i was almost going back to sch once every week to settle admin stuffs for the trip ahead which is in mid april immediately after my industrial attachment.

Anyway, got to learn lots of things in the vegetable oil company and valuable experience gained for me even though that's bad along with the good. Haha! Anyway, during that period of time, was working part time at universal studios as well. So together with my attachment, sometimes, i work for consecutive 12 to 13 days before i actually got an off day. I guess it was very tiring during that period of time but i enjoyed the part working in universal studios once every week. Working there was more of enjoyment to me than actually working. Finally, at that period of time i know what is like holding 2 jobs and how tired it can get at times. That period of time really like no life sia!! But anyway the upcoming trip in april to Dalian, China for about 2 months push me through that tough period i guess. Haha!! I still remembered counting down the days before the trip and ending my attachments during the tough period of time.

Next up is the Dalian trip from mid april to mid june. The abt 2 months of studying experience was just too valuable and no words are enough to describe the whole experience although tons of words can be used. Anyway, despite of the different things that happened in the trip, i still think it is a great trip as i got to know more of the character of some of my poly friends. As like other trips, once you are away from home for long, you tend to miss home and that felt by most of us. But in spite of that, with the friends there with u, u also feel like a big family during the 2 months there. To sum it up, it is simply a great trip without no regrets from me although i was feeling the stress from all the assignments, presentations,tests. Hooo!!!!

Anyway for the second part of 2011, from june when we came back to singapore. It was crush course for the remaining modules that we had to take along with the 3 exams. But time really flies with me finishing my year 3, sem 1 on a high in the exams from end august to 1st week of sep when the exams results came out. It was the best results i gotten in my entire poly life. I was super elated although i thought i could had done better. Haha!! After the exams, it is all about the final year project which i will not try to talk about. It is all but one word: SIAN!!! Anyway, poly education is about done for me where the year had ended with the last round of mid sem tests, now embarking on the final few months of my whole poly life something i am really looking forward in this new year.

For 2011, it's not all about school i guess. Anyway, most of the gatherings for year to conclude came from my work friends i guess. Anyway, tons of photos were taken for the entire year of gatherings i guess. 2011 marks the year where the most photos i had taken up to date for me i guess. Besides that, gatherings with my sec friends, army friends were also seen in different parts of the 2011 i guess. Friends are something i can never leave without. Haha!!! Love all my friends out there!! Hoooooo!!!!!!!!! From my birthday celebrations to each of theirs, and to all the different gatherings we had in singapore, malaysia and china. I guess it had been quite a great 2011 spent with each and everyone my friends.

Lastly and most importantly, not forgetting all my family members, it is been great year for us all as we had been meeting most of the sundays at grandma's place in 2011. The bonding that we had been great throughout the whole year. The highlight of the 2011 was the bangkok trip that we had recently. It was a first overseas trip with family members for me. It was always be as memorable in my mind. It was a great first trip with you guys. Hope for more in the upcoming year i guess. Also not forgetting my mother, end of the year, it also marks her first death anniversary since she passed on. Although so, we celebrated by praying for her and she will forever be in my heart for everything she had done for me. Love u mum!!!!!

Long time since my last post...........

Hey guys, i think it's been a long time since i last blog. Anyway, i will start this blog post.

It's been quite some time as my last sem in singapore polytechnic had started, now i am left with the last term which is about 3 more months left before i graduate and earn myself a diploma in food science and technology. It still remains unsure whether i will be studying after that, as i had yet to decide. Anyway, will be making my decision soon enough i hope.

Poly life was quite a normal life for me i guess except when i was struggling a bit when i was in my first year in poly. Nevertheless, time flies and i will be graduating soon. Poly life was the same and my status throughout my whole life is still the same: 'SINGLE'. I guess i am still waiting for that miracle to come along some way or another. I had hope from year 1 in poly life, i would abandoned the current status that i had which is being single. Anyway, disappointments again! Never mind i guess, i am quite used to it. At some point, hopes sort of began hopeless after time.

Now in year 3 of my poly life, my poly group of friends are either in a relationship or going into one, unlike me who is always alone. Now in the discussion, it seems like i am always out of the topic and hearing more of things about love which i don really like to hear about at some point. Maybe i am jealous of them or more of envy, i guess i really don know. Anyway, i hope to graduate really soon as sometimes seeing and hearing about their love stories are really saddening for me.

Enough of the sad stuffs i had i guess. Lucky for me, i am never alone, i have groups of friends which most are still single and being together with them just really let me feel great and happy. Therefore, it somehow let me think of the good things of being SINGLE. Haha! I guess i am who i am and it is hard to change my character as those that are close to me will know that when i like a girl and i don really know how to express it openly to the person. So this is one big flaw which i have and which makes me SINGLE all the way till now. Eager to start a relationship but............

Anyway, last thing i need to mention and the most important will be the passing of my mum, it been a year since my mother left our family peacefully into another world to be free of any troubles, stress and health issues. Recently i just prayed my mum along with my brother and father. Although she had left us, i know she will forever live in our hearts and minds. She will be watching over us and blessing us in whatever we do. In my memory, she always love me the most and adore me the most all the way until she pass on. She's the world's greatest mother to me and all the things she done for will always be remembered deep in my heart. Hope she doing well and good wherever she may be and I just want to say and shout it out I MISS U and LOVE U MUM!!!!!

The last holidays b4 i graduate from poly.........

These holidays were not really holidays, although it is the last holidays b4 i graduate, i still have to go sch doing FYP during the weekdays. This is week 5 and next week is the last week of holidays b4 i start my last sem in singapore poly.

However, did actually take a break this week with us doing FYP only on monday. I went to KL for a short trip with my 2 of my friends from thursday to yesterday which is a saturday. Hope i had recharge enough with this overseas trip. Anyway, done some last minute shopping b4 i left KL with buying of a t-shirt, shoes, socks and a A&W mug. This trip was relaxing, enjoyable and fun.

Already looking forward to my next trip which is to bangkok which will be the third country i ever visited and it will be with my family members. It is in 2 months from 21st dec - 25th dec, a 5 days, 4 nite trip. Hoooo!!! This year of 2011, is going to end for me with a blast. So going to love it!! Haha!!

Holidays are ending as i mentioned before, holidays are never enough i guess, sch's reopening soon, this time for me i hope holidays don end so soon because it is short and secondly i hope to have more time for my FYP to be done. Anyway, we should always look forward i guess, hopes that dec come early so i can go overseas to enjoy again!!! Haha!!!

Feelings........................

I guess memories of my mother is flowing around, guess i am glad that the whole family especially my grandma remembers her the most. Now that she's not around anymore, i can see that grandma had lost a soul mate which can accompany her out to different places and actually talk to her almost everyday, always around with her. I guess memories of her flow throughout all my family members' mind. Whenever i went to visit my grandma, somehow, there will be something about my beloved mother. And sometimes this brings me to great memories of her in my mind, somehow it also makes me sad that she's not around anymore. Guess this is how you will when a loved one is not around.

Today, father and brother went to bangkok with the rest of my other family members leaving me alone at home for these 4 days. Anyway, tonite had dinner with buying fruits for praying tomo and keeping the dried clothes all alone. First time so lonely and kind of sad being alone. Anyway, this is the first time in my life, i am alone at home lol. Anyway, hope to get by these few days quickly. While eating dinner, the fish store auntie also notice and asked where is my mother. When she asked for the first time, i sort of stumbled a bit as i didn't know how to answer. In the end, i guess she say is she at home and i sort of agreed and end the conversation. At the point, memories of her appeared in my mind and i know i always love my mother for all the things she did for me. Kind of a sad nite i guess!!!

Loneliness is one thing i hate the most. However, we will eventually have to get by it.

Back from China 3 weeks ago, just started school few days ago!!!!

It's another few months since i type on my blog, tried to update in China but to no avail. Anyway, Dalian's study trip was quite a blast and Beijing's tour was nothing much more than a bore. That so how sums up the 2 months there. Somehow, there was more bonding in my class than ever before, as usual, good and bad things happened over there. In the end, one of the good things was the love blossoms and couple formation in my class(BS and C). Feel really happy for them and hope their love will last forever. A particular guy from my class became the single most annoying and irritating person in the whole stage. Everyone seem to dislike him and facts of him uncover itself in China. Besides this few things that i mentioned, i guess there were others like S and JL issues which bother some of my classmates and more importantly, the 2 lecturers with us. Being a lecturer is not easy and at times difficult as you will have to deal with all the problems that the students give you, be it emotionally, academically, socially and etc.

Some of the things i gain from the trip was different things about JH who is my room mate during these 2 months, he is the one who also make me miss 2 of the factory visits, seeing a love story from start till finally it blossoms and the couple formed and in the whole process trying to make sure that it actually will happen with the rest of my friends. Enjoying the great and cooling weather China offers with dirt and smoke pollution everywhere. Drinking mineral water for the whole of the 2 months there, the most mineral water that i ever drank in my lifetime up till now. Tasting the awesome and cheap seafood found there.

Guess coming back to singapore means more work to do as my group and i started doing an assignment due that very friday on 10 june. Immediately we went back school to start the assignment the next day after we reach singapore. For the rest of the holidays, i spent most of my time in school doing my final year project.Anyway, started the second term this week and on the very first day, received an assignment liao. The stress really starting to pile i guess.

Back to the holidays, besides going back sch, i also have some time to visit my grandma along with the rest of my family members. Also get to meet some of my friends and also friends from work as i resume work on saturdays at universal studios liao.

Great memories with quite a great bunch of people!!!!! Hoo!! Cheers to all the OIPers!!!!!

Heading into the last week of my internship.........

This is almost the end of week 5 of my 6-week internship program at aceford food industry. I guess i learnt quite a lot during my short period of stay in this company. Tomo shall be attending a food safety management team meeting, it is quite a formal meeting i think. First time, in a meeting with my supervisor and also with the company's GM and senior managers. Quite nervous actually for tomo. Come to think of it, actually i don think i will be asked any questions, just sitting in the meeting ba. Anyway, i went to cut my hair specially for the meeting to have a good impression during the meeting. Actually i wanted to cut during next week b4 i fly off to dalian. Anyway, i hope this short haircut i have now can last till i come back to singapore in june. My hair is like super short now. Haha!

This week also marks the first anniversary yearwhere i work in universal studios . I can't believe i actually work in universal studios for a year liao. Anyway, till now, i had been working at Revenge of the Mummy( indoor roller coaster). Through this 1 year alone, i had seen 3 managers, change of leads although some still remaining, promotion of some of the team members and friends. Transferring out of some of my ROM friends and lots and lots of new faces coming into this attraction. A lot more changes is to be expected in this few months. As i will be heading off to Dalian, China on 16 april(sat), my last working day will be this sunday 10 april which also happens to be the last sunday i will be having in singapore and this is dedicated to my ROM friends i guess. Anyway, i hope that when i return to work after 7 june which is abt 2 months later, the changes in ROM is not very big.

Anyway, will be looking forward to the last 2 events(gatherings i like to call) before i leave for Dalian which is joelin's bf birthday surprise celebration on sat and my advance birthday celebration on 15 april (fri)which is also my last day in singapore and last day of my internship. Ya, i hope i remember to bring the titbits we all shared and bought in our last JB trip to pass to joelin on sat! Haha!! Can any kind souls please remind me? Thanks!!!

Almost forgotten i had a blog.........................

It's 2011 first blog post. It's quite a shock. Time really flies! It's been 10 long months since i last type on my blog. I guess i was busy and stressed up with school work until i was so lazy to type on my blog.

Anyway, i was also busy during Saturdays working at universal studios and Sunday going out with my different groups of friends.

The time when i left off the last 6 months of 2010, i was busy with assignments, projects, tests and exams and not forgetting the chalet during the YOG holidays before the exams plus after the exams working in universal studios during the September holidays till October where school reopens. In that holidays, i also managed to go on a short holiday trip to KL. This short holiday was fulfilling and relaxing as it's been a long time i had travelled to overseas. Anyway, from October to December 2010, tons of things had been happening in my life. A lot of outings was organised and i went out with my universal studios friends more often. It started with the Halloween trips to night safari, then sentosa and an end of the year game event organised by universal studios and all the gatherings and outings carried on till 2011 and still continuing now. Haha!! Really enjoying all the time in these gatherings and outings organised by different friends working in universal studios.

Taking a step back, during the October to December 2010, it was a few of the saddest days of my life with the passing of grandmother from my father's side and during that time, my mother was already not feeling very well and she was admitted to the hospital soon after my grandma's funeral is done. She was diagnosed with quite a lot illnesses while in hospital and eventually recover well enough for her to go home after abt 1 month. But that dreadful day came when suddenly she passed away with no last words with only me at home when it happened. I don know why it happened so damn quickly and i was so in a shock. But i know i needed to stay strong for my family and i managed to deal with my mum's funeral with a peaceful heart although it still pains me at times till now. I know we all have to move forward and my mum will always be with me and my family giving us her blessings no matter what we are doing.

Back to the past few months in this new year of 2011, i begin the year, back to school for the remaining 2 months in the semester before the exams during last week of feb and first week of march and the outings with my universal studios friends continued till now. A lot of photos were taken during the different outings and gatherings, i guess i am happy that i have a tons of photos in facebook right now along with that tons of memories which i will remember for life. At this point for my universal studios friends, for my attraction which i been working for almost a year, some of my friends at ROM now maybe leaving for different places. We might not see one another soon. The photo on this post is just one of the gatherings photos i have and it is the lastest one, don really know how to post the others up. Haha!!!

Anyway, i am having internship for 6 weeks during this march holidays in a vegetable oil company in senoko in sembawang. 3 weeks remaining before i fly to dalian, china for 2 months from 17 april to 7 june 2011 to start my 3rd poly year. I hope when i come back to work during june in universal studios at ROM, i will still see familiar faces around and not much people left although it is quite difficult. 2 months is neither too long nor too short for changes to take place, i hope the changes will not be too big at universal studios at ROM.

It's been 2 months since i updated.............

Since my birthday, i started my 2nd year in SP, the very next day. Anyway, year 2 subjects are supposed to be harder than year 1 module. What i feel after term 1 of year 2, the modules which are harder appears to be biochemistry and Process instrumentation(PI). Luckily for me, biochemistry is a module without exam BUT there is a big 40% test coming up after these 2 weeks of holidays. I have to try my best to do well, then can slack for the rest of the semester i hope. Unfortunately for PI, it is the hardest module for the semester with the exam which is like maths which is 60% of the whole module. I wondering whether can i pass the particular module. Anyway, shall try my best to at least pass the module. As for the MST papers last week, i feel good for all the papers except for PI, i guess luckily it is only 10%. The main thing for PI, is to pass the exams so that you can naturally pass the module. I guess my main aim for year 2 and finally when i graduate is to have a GPA of at least 3. It is a goal i will try very best to attain throughout my education in SP. It might be very difficult at this stage though BUT it is worth a try for a pretty cert.

Talking abt a pretty cert, i join a CCA this year to get CCA points which will make my cert look better. I joined SP civil defence club with a few of my classmates. I guess it will be more fun with classmates you know inside the club too. Going to have a camp next week, it's been 5-6 years since i last had a CCA camp. Don't know the feeling to camp anymore i guess. Anyway, hope i will enjoy the funny things they had organised for us and also to have great fun.

So besides, the CCA camp i having in these 2 weeks of holidays will be a family chalet during father's day weekend which happens this weekday. This 2 activities will be fun i guess BUT besides that, i got tonnes of school work to complete also. This is some sch holidays for me huh?

Anyway, the list of school work includes: A powerpoint presentation, 2 individual formal reports, PI, food chemistry and food preservation datasheets, food chemistry group assignment report and biochemistry test to study for. These list of 8 things to complete in the holidays, it is a lot to complete in 14 days where i have to work on both saturdays with the camp and chalet thing. My time very limited and i have not even started on a single one of them. I need to start later, i guess i will spent the rest of today doing whatever i can i guess.

Work, Coming birthday. Then after is sch reopens......

It is coming to mid april already and it is last week that i started working officially in universal studios in Revenge of the Mummy which is a dark indoor roller coaster ride. Last week, my first week of working, the schedule was 5 days for me. Tiring though but i thought i earn and learn quite a lot. For the second week which is this week, i was planned to work on only 1 day which is yesterday where i got signed off by my team manager which means from yesterday afternoon, i will be allowed to work alone in the different stations. It may be a good thing or a bad thing. I sure hope it is a good thing though. Anyway, i guess i will be able to rest, wait for my birthday weekend and school reopens which is on this coming monday. Not earning much this week though, only 1 day. Anyway, yesterday also marks the last weekday i will be working for now as school is reopening and next week onwards i will be working only sat i guess. Together, 6 days of working in universal and i get abt $450 of pay liao. I guess the pay is not too bad ba. Haha!!

I guess it is enough about work though. Work had been stopped for this week as 1 more important event is coming this weekend which is my birthday, actual day on a sunday. Will be heading to universal studios with some ite friends to enjoy the day there. Hope it will be a great day. Saturday i will be leaving the day free for celebration from my other groups of friends, so far nothing, so i will be hoping to hear from my other groups of friends. Some say before, but nothing is confirm till now. Anyway, certainly hope it will be a weekend to be remember though. So looking forward to this weekend!! Hoo!!!!

As for things after the weekend which is from monday, i will be heading back to school to start my second year in singapore poly. It's been long holidays i guess. Anyway, my earnings in this holidays are not too bad and certainly it's been a great holiday. Therefore, it is time to get the engine running and it is for me to get back in studying mode after a long relax mode in the holidays. Haha!!!

I guess after 1 month holiday from school, i finally got myself a job as a ride operator in universal studios singapore. Will be starting the job officially tomo, Revenge of the mummy which is a indoor roller coaster ride. Feeling a bit nervous though as it is been a long time since i work, almost like 3 years or so. I guess may not be facing the crowd as soon as i will need to complete so on the job training first. I will be working on tues, wed, thur, sat and sunday this week. It is 5 days lol! A bit sian though. Anyway, i hope i will be able to adapt back to working life as soon as possible ba.With the holidays ending in 2 weeks, work in universal studios will be confined to weekends and public holidays only. Anyway, i will need to submit my new availability form for work tomo when i start i guess.

Holidays ending also means 1 thing is coming which is my birthday, the last day of sch holidays for this year. I guess will be still going to universal studios on my birthday, it will be by far the most expensive birthday i will spend and should be the first time, my birthday will be so expensive. Anyway, hope it will be a well spent day at USS in sentosa ba!!! After all, it is my birthday. Any surprises this year? I don know i guess. Looking forward to it though!!!!!!

It's been quite a long school holiday i guess. Anyway, we are coming to an end of it as school is starting in 2 weeks. Just found out abt my timetable for the new semester, i guess it is something that i expected as an SP student. Since the timetable is out, i guess i will be choosing my GEMs module either on a tuesday morning or friday afternoon as i will be finishing at 6pm during both of the days so might as well put the timeslot to good use then.

Boring days beginning in this holidays for me......

Holidays had started and this is almost the end of the 2nd week of holidays for me. Holidays are getting bored as i don't have any activities for the next month of the holidays till it ends. Officially i will have the next 10 days free and after that i will start work 29 march 09 in resort world sentosa. Actually looking forward to work and earn some cash before the holidays end i guess.

But before work comes, it is the release of my semester 2 exam results next Wednesday on the 24th march. Not really looking forward though, but trying to spend my holidays happily before the results are released. I hope i would be as happy after the release of the results. Nevertheless, i thought i already tried my best and the rest will be up to fate and luck i guess

I will start work officially on 29 march and it is a 3-day training for me at the HQ of resort world sentosa which is near jurong east. I guess have to wake up really early as i will need to report by 8.30am during the 3 training days. It's been a long time since i last work, 3 years that is!! Haha, wonder what it would be like working!! Looks like i have lost the feeling!

Enough talk abt work i guess, the next big thing for this year is my 23rd birthday coming up before the end of my holidays which is also the last day of my poly holidays. Looking forward i guess cause it is a trip to universal studios theme park. It will be the first time i am going to spend a lot of money on my own birthday i guess. Another first i guess, didn't know i have so many things i have not done in my life yet huh!! Haha!!!!

Quite a lot of things had happen till the long break since i blogged last. Anyway, with the new year looming in, then CNY in feb before my semester exams after that!!! I been busy and a bit lazy to blog i guess. Now is already the second week of my holidays after my end of the exams of my first year in the SP, i will be going to the second year of my poly studies le. I hope i had done good enough for me to progress to the second year without any forward modules ba. I really am praying hard as i want to start working after 2 more years in poly as my father is getting old. It is almost time, i start supporting the family i guess. Anyway, i look forward in these last 2 years of me being a student and certainly going to enjoy life to the fullest.

Ya, i going to start working after a long break from my working life before my enlistment which dates back from may 2007. It's been 3 years plus since i last work. Hope that i can adapt back to that kind of life i guess.

So far, it's been a great holidays with class chalet which just passed from last tuesday till last thursday. It is a rather unique experience for 10+ of us squeezing in a small chalet room meant for actually just 4 persons. It rather a hotel room compared to a chalet where amenities were limited. Anyway, a lot of bonding were done for half the class that turned up for this chalet. That is one of the advantages in the small, squeezy chalet room i guess. I hope all of us who turned up had a great time during the short stay there in coasta sands downtown east.

Nothing much for now, i certain to work soon i guess. Holidays should pass in a breeze once i start working at universal studios ba. Good luck for myself!!! Hoo!!!!

Exams coming in a month....................

Exams dates and times are out as i found out yesterday nite. Anyway, this past week in school was normal with me except having a formal presentation on Thursday morning with formal attire and wearing it for the whole day in school including during afternoon's last microbiology practical and also the last practical for this entire semester which my classmates thought i looked like a doctor throughout the practical session. It was my first time wearing a whole set of formal wear which included leather shoes, long sleeve shirt, pants and belt. I bought it all from G2000 except the leather shoes which was from BATA. Actually i thought it was quite nice wearing the set of formal wear, just a bit uncomfortable in it only.

Abt the formal presentation that we had done that thursday, i thought i was the lousiest presenter among my groupmates. Anyway, i have a bad feeling that i would get a 'D' grade for the report writing module this semester. 1 presentation down and 3 more coming up! It seems like we have more presentations for this semester as compared to the first sem. This reminds me of how i hate presentations as i know, most of the time i wouldn't do well for presentations. Next presentation is on next tuesday, hope i can do my best for this last presentation for this IDEA module.

The recent events happening around me are all but school, i guess i had been busy with school work since the start of the year and not really having any fun. But i should look forward to CNY first for the small break and a bit of fun before the exams i guess!! Hope i can enjoy chinese new year then!!!

2010's first blog post

Just realized i did not write any blog post since last year. Anyway, this is a new year 2010 and it's been 2 weeks since the school started. School started off with stress gaining at a fast pace. From next week, i am left with 4 more presentations/projects for the different modules and a formal report to do. The hardest being the report as it is going to be done by myself. Anyway, the term is a very short one with tonnes of work to be done before the exams which takes place after CNY. It is going to be a sad CNY this year as the thought of exams after that is a 'bored' kind of feeling. Anyway, it is not easy being an SP student.

Let's talk abt the passing week where i spent everyday with my group of poly friends doing project after school. Although today is a saturday, i also went back school to finish up the maths project. I guess the upcoming week will also be staying back after sch to continue finishing up the rest of the different assignments/projects/presentations. Life as a SP student huh!!!!

New year resolutions for the year 2010, till now i never really seriously thought of any yet. I will come up with it now i guess. For the first one, to keep myself as healthy and fit for my NS reservist at the end of the year. Second one, this resolution had been in my mind for a few years now, finding love, will I finally fulfill this wish this year? I certainly hope so. Third, hope i can pass my exams with better results in feb to end my first year of poly on a high note and start my 2nd year of poly brightly. I guess that's the most important three for the whole year i am going to try to achieve. As time goes by, i guess i will continue to add to what i am going to achieve for the year.

End of 2009 is coming...................

Another year is coming to an end. It's been a long year of 2009, isn't it? 2009 is coming to an end in less than 48 hours. It is the time of the year where we can reflect upon the whole year's events and happenings as we conclude what had we done. As 2009 ends, we start to think of what we should do for the brand new year. Anyway, before doing so, i should so how summarise and conclude my 2009.
For 2009, first half of the year, i was still serving the remainder of my NSF life. It was almost the end of my army life and for the first few months of the year, i was busy preparing for the evaulation of what aims to conclude what have i learn in army for the past 2 years. First few months was busy with outfields, breaks in between, victory challenges in preparation for the final evaluation of the unit i been in the past 2 years. By the end of march, when the evaluation ended, it marks the end of my army life. Though not really the end cause i ORD in june but it is significant as we showed the evaluators what we had learned as a unit, company, platoon and section with our buddies in the past 2 years and things were concluded. From april, i was clearing offs and leaves as i was going to ORD. In april, i was also granted admission in poly for the diploma of food science and technology and started studying in Singapore polytechnic. While managing the remainder of my army life with school, before i eventually ORD in mid june and got back my pink ic. The feeling is great as i converted back to being a full time civillian and student.

After june, i started a new lease of my life after NS. Took my first major exam after two and a half years since i graduated from ITE in 2007 and it was in singapore polytechnic in mid august and i pass the 4 modules exams i taken from april this year. Not too bad a start for me in poly, though i was a bit shell-shocked in the start of my first semester but after a while, i thought i had the momentum and after the exams in august, i decided to enjoy the 2 months plus of holidays as i had not trully enjoyed the holidays during my 2 years in NS. Enjoy the life of being a student to the fullest during the period of time.That holidays also signalled the end of my first semester in singapore poly.

So from mid oct, i started my 2nd semester in singapore poly, and still in the 2nd semester till now. I thought most of the second semester lecturers suck, so i thought i was struggling quite a bit in this semester i guess. Anyway, i ended term 1 of this semester feeling pretty scared as i took the mid semester test before the holidays started and felt that i failed 2 papers out of the 4 papers. Anyway, now it is up to the second term of this semester which starts next year, I guess i have to work harder till the exams for this semester in end of feb next year.

Overall i thought i will end 2009, feeling happy as i would pass my first semester with accepting results as a student again after my NS life and the hard work i still put in this semester and still have a chance to produce results for next feb's semesteral exams.

One mad starting week to the holidays..............

It's been a mad, crazy and wild week for the start of the holidays for me. I been out almost everyday from monday last week. Only last tuesday i did not go out. Anyway, last week, i got to go sentosa with my poly friends, do projects, meet cousin, meet sec friends and ite friends. The breakout from the rest of the normal events was a trip to the club for one of my sec friend's birthday celebration. It was the first time for me. Anyway, nothing much that i would like in the club though but with friends, it is still great time spent together.
Been coughing and having sore throat these few days though, the conditions seem to go off and on. I guess i am lucky enough to survive the week with only cough and sore throat and nothing more serious. Hope that i will recover as soon as possible.
Today i finally had the time to rest at home as i do not have anything for the day. Guess i will be starting out the formal report later after lunch and hope i will have it done before the holidays end. This week should not be as taxing as last week though. But my group hope to complete another project by this week.
Anyway, let's hope that most of my school work can be completed before the holidays end next year. Will try to update more, getting lazy already!! Haha!!

Holidays with a lot of sch work in it...........

Finally, the holidays are here and i am back to being relaxed and free. Anyway, we should enjoy the holidays as it is the time for students like us to enjoy. SP holidays are almost the same except after the sem exam i guess. A lot of things for me to do during this holidays i guess. Hope can finish the sch things asap. It's December already, and the main events passed so far for me, is the ite reunion which was last friday where i went. Photos taken, but nothing much as we got the time to catch up and see each other after a long time. I would say a great time spent altogether. Nothing much as that as it was my MST week. After the test, 2 days ago, some of my classmates and i went to the kbox in jurong safra to enjoy, relax and celebrate the start of the holidays. It is good that my poly friends and i are spending more time with each other as after we graduate, most of us i would say, will be heading off in different directions lol. Anyway, it is good time spent as i always say when i get to hang out with all my different groups of friends. Next week, we will be having another gathering at sentosa with my poly friends. So looking forward to it! As for today, i will be going out dinner with my army friends later in the evening.Tomo i also having another gathering with another group of army friends before the night where i will be heading back school for the bursary presentation. Holidays started with a blast for me i guess, think i will be able to enjoy this holidays by balancing school work and playing. Really loving it!!!Hoooooo!!!!!

Coming to end of the sch term, tests coming up.............

Few weeks since i last updated my blog! Anyway, sch is shifting to the next gear as we prepare for all the upcoming tests before the 3-week holidays. And the upcoming series of test is in abt 2-3 weeks. The sad thing is i have not even started studying lol, been more lazy than last sem i guess. Anyway, this sem, the tests come first before the holidays so i have lesser time to be prepare and study i guess. In this sem, most of the subjects is abt memory lol. Poly life is like that i guess, not much difference from the first sem where i got a bit shell-shock from the workload. I guess it makes no differences to me now as i have adapted to it.

This few weeks of highlights in my life were, last week i ran for abt 4km at bishan stadium with my secondary friends last, last wednesday for the first time since i got out from full time national service in june. The run was tiring for me but good for training as i prepare for the annual IPPT which i need to take.

Another highlight would be the last tuesday where i went out with some of my poly classmates and friends for the first time to buy birthday presents for jia lin and wei guang who shared the same birthday on last wednesday. We travelled from sch to bugis in search of the presents. Bought a converse shoe for wei guang and a jacket for jia lin. Finally went to the basement and bought the birthday cake before the whole day was concluded. Good time spent with them for the first time.

The next highlight was on wednesday where i met up with lijin and ah kiong, was a highlight as we spent money on the candy pushing machine where in total abt $40 to get a jackpot which the prize was a medium elmo soft toy which lijin wanted, in the process of that, she also got a small dog soft toy and a lot of sweets. It is one of the rare occasions where lijin ask us out so i did not reject. Actually wanted to do my chemistry report that day. Anyway, it was a great day spent and friends that know me, should know i love going out and spending the time with them. And the fact is i don't like to be alone.

The last highlight i would like to talk about will be the Marche Visit yesterday at vivocity with some of my poly friends, planned and organised by the class rep, although not a lot of ppl went but at least 1/3 of the class there. Anyway, i also love all these outings, hard for me to reject anyone i guess. And to my poly friends which don't know me, i am a type of guy where ppl will need to ask me take photos cause i am a shy person which make my photos limited and actually i don't mind taking photos lol!!! Haha!! Hope more of this trips come from my poly friends, cause we really seldom spent time together!

So sch reopens and now i got all the new modules which i have to cope with. The weird thing is all teachers teaching this sem is like a bit funny, got the lame one, slow one, blur one, strict one, slack one, deep voice one and etc. Anyway, this sem with all these types of lecturers seem to be an interesting one i guess. 2 weeks since sch reopens, this is the 3rd week liao, the pace is really starting to pick up liao. The work load is starting to stack up all over again. This week only today got practical as it is a odd week. Anyway, on even weeks, i also only have 2 practicals in a week. Practicals for this sem even lesser than last sem, practicals like really nothing in poly lol, theory like more important lol.
Guess activities are back to weekends again.During last weekend, went to lyon's birthday chalet with seb, ah kiong but before that spent the afternoon still deciding and waiting for serene to meet us. While waiting, we actually played over 1 hour of arcade at marina square and also walk all over suntec and marina as well. Serene came over at abt 8pm and met us before we went shopping for lyon's birthday present. Finally, bought a drinking game of snakes and ladders which is made of glass and serene drove us there in her mother's car. First time, sitting in serene's car, she's not a bad driver i guess. Anyway, ended the day with supper in a hk cafe in east coast park with lyon and jane after the birthday party ended. Serene send us home in her car as i reach home the earliest abt 2am. I wonder what about seb and ah kiong. Anyway, a girl sending 3 guys home. It is a whole new concept!! Haha!! The world is changing huh!!!!

Almost nearing end of my holidays......................

This week is the last week of my long school holidays. It had been a long holiday i guess. I guess most of my holidays i really enjoyed myself. I used this holidays to make up for the holidays i didn't have while serving my national service as a armour trooper. Anyway, sep holidays for me was a bit boring for me ba but close to the end of sep. The activities for me seems endless as i went out almost everyday. Haha, since oct started i been really enjoying the holidays. As you can see from the previous 2 posts, a lot of activities i was doing and really a lot of wonderful memories for this holidays. I guess i had a great holidays after all.

To the activities after the jb trip on last monday, i got all the dvds i bought on wednesday.For yesterday, went out with ah kiong and watch the movie 'the message' after that went to suntec and guess what we saw while we were leaving the place. We saw Dr derek yeo, our course manager in my ite days. He was with his family. Chatted for a while and found out that the gathering in dec is going to be organise by the student services in ITE. I guess I should be going as after i am a ITE graduate and i am doing great also in my path of the science sector. I am sure that i can carry the ITE brand proud in singapore poly which i am currently studying or at least i hope.Haha, a great statement from me!! Really hope i do well to carry the good name for the science in ITE.

I finally finished watching a hk drama today, which i been chasing during the week i guess. The drama is something like the chinese version of CSI. The drama is a good drama i thought with the different highs and lows in it.

Today is the day where my brother came back from his confinement after his first 2 weeks in the police national service. Nothing much had change for him except for his hair. Expected as this is what all the singaporean male have to go through as a citizen. He came back complaining about the physical training. I guess he just started out, i think everyone started out the same too. Anyway, i still think army is worse than police training. It is because police don't go outfield and besides i think to them, the most difficult part is physical training only. From my experience in army, army is tougher as we had stress during outfield exercises and we also have physical training. Therefore, army is toughest among the 3 national service for males. Although i went through army as a armour trooper, it was difficult at the start but i still persevere through the 2 years and made quite a new of good friends or better known as brothers. I guess everything have their good and bad sides. Anyway, happy that my brother came back home after a long time.Anyway, as a police NSF, he will have more time at home after this 3 months after he pass out successfully. Because being a police is actually a stay out type of national service job, not like in the army where you are confined to a camp permanently and the worse thing is you need to stay in camp during weekdays. That's why being a police serving national service, the toughest is only the first 3 months in home team academy. Looking to my brother passing out in january next year as a police officer and he will have more time with his family and friends after that. That's great!! So looking forward to that day!

Anyway, before that day actually comes, it is time for me to continue in my quest for a diploma when school reopens next monday! Will update soon!!!

From the last blog i mention abt the cycling trip, besides that i also went LAN gaming with my secondary school friends, a ITE gathering involving the chinese and the JB trip. LAN gaming was a new found hobby with my secondary school friends so we also had a new hangout place which is AMK. We normally played LAN games at a shop in K box plaza near AMK central.
For the ite gathering was planned by me with the help of ah kiong, i guess i asked jane before i actually only decide to gather the chinese in ITE, she say since the malays already had their outing quite some time ago, we should have our own. I actually also thought something similar and organising a chinese gathering is easier as most of us were still in contact over MSN or phone. I am also not that close to the malays in ITE. Anyway, for the gathering, i decided it would be a steamboat buffet in the night. Seldom go to steamboat buffet restaurants so ah kiong and i went for marketing which restaurant should go in bugis 2 days before the actual day. Anyway, on the actual day, we went into this steamboat restaurant where the service was slow and awful lousy. Not a good restaurant and i guess the next time, i will not eat there again ba.
Good time spent there though as everyone of the 12 there got to catch up with one another after 2 long years since graduation in ite. Most of the guys there finished our national service except alvin which is still serving his. I guess this time can see a lot of people came out as we didn't had a outing for a long time. For the ones that miss it, i can only say it is theirs to regret. I shall try to organise another in the future i guess. This kind of gathering always brings great memories and happiness.
For the JB trip, it's been a long while since i went there. This is the first time, Lijin joined me and ah kiong for this jb trip. It's been a long while we went jb because of swine flu, studies and etc. Anyway, had a great time over lijin there. We also broke our record for buying dvds as both of us bought a total of 59 including 18 dvds of heros for lyon which i bought for him. Anyway, bought dvds until there was not enough for dinner and lijin is the only one that had money left. So she treated us for dinner at pizza hut over at jb holiday plaza after we finished buying our dvds. Anyway, i treated her for lunch as it is the first time she joins us for the jb trip. At dinner, she treated me back, so we are sort of even. Haha! Anyway, i always enjoyed the way we teased and talked about things. I guess not only me, the 3 of us should have enjoyed it on that day. We are so good friends i guess and enjoyed each others' company. I guess we will enjoy more of these jb trips in the future. The jb trip also marks the last week of my sch holidays lol. Will update more on the next blog post of this week!!!

Don know when did my blog because full of my events i gone through in great details. Anyway, i know a lot of ppl is suggesting that i cut down on the details and summarise! Actually used to summarise and list only important events that passed, but maybe because while serving NS over the 2 years, i forgotten how to blog and started writing every single detail that had been happening around me. Anyway, i shall try to cut down on every detail and summarise by only writing what is more important. Haha!! Continuing from the last blog post, i had cycling, played LAN games, went out with friends and a jb trip for the long week that passed till now. Cycling was among the activity i most look forward to as it has always been a passion for me. And ever since buying my new bicycle i never ride on it. This is the first time after so long i cycling as finally i found a cycling partner which is azli to accompany me for the cycling trip we sort of planned. To start the cycling trip off, we decided to meet at potong pasir at 1pm. While i was cycling there, my tyre busted when i was at serangoon. At that point of time, azli was already at potong pasir, i called him and ask him to come serangoon as i could not continue the cycling trip with a busted tyre. Then i met him and call a friend(saleh) living in serangoon to ask if there is a bicycle shop nearby so that i could change my tyre. He told me, the nearest bicycle shop is in serangoon north where he live. Anyway, we could not continue until my tyre was changed. So azli and i walk from serangoon to serangoon north. Finally, we reach the bicycle shop and met saleh where we had lunch together and say goodbye to saleh before resuming our bicycle trip to east coast park. It was a long but straight road to east coast park through hougang, ubi, eunos, parkway. We were but surprised as the ride was merely over 1 hour as we reach east coast park. Anyway, ride in east coast park while waiting for saleh and jeremy for dinner. So met them for dinner at east coast mcdonalds, actually that of going home after that but azli didn't want so we chatted till abt 2.30am before jeremy wanted to make a move to prepare for his mobilisation stuffs, so saleh send him home on the motorbike while azli and i continue talking while resting in east coast park. We then decided to leave at 4am. So i reach home at 5.15am, was so shagged lol! Talk with azli about it at east coast park lol, thought the whole experience was damn shagged lol cause we also quite a long time never exercise liao!! Haha!! I thought my bicycle a bit sucky too cause all the bicycle trips i had in the past, my bicycle also had no problems lol!!! Will continue on, going to sleep soon................

Long week that i spent since the last blog post.........

A lot had happened in this long week, i had a gathering on the first day of F1 which is a saturday at vivocity where i caught up with some of my army friends and had dinner. For sunday the race day of F1 was asked by my group of secondary friends to AMK to play LAN game for a good 3 hours before i headed home to watch F1 race live on TV.
For this long week following the F1 weekend, it started with me attending my poly chalet from monday to wednesday. This is the second poly chalet for our class, this time round came lesser people as most of my poly classmates are busy working or have something on. Total persons that came for the chalet i think about 9-10 only. Anyway, i still had fun although lesser people this time. On the second night, we had our bbq where i set up the fire since nobody really know how to. I thought also this is the first time i set up the bbq fire alone. I felt good also. I never knew i could do it lol. Really proud of my work. Haha!!! Anyway, i miss half of chris and fann wong wedding on tv as i had to help my classmates maintain the bbq pit fire. That night, fanned the charcoal to maintain the fire until, my arms also ached lol. In the end, we managed to cook finish 90% of the bbq food with the fire. Lucky, our class tutor did not come for the bbq because i took quite a long time to start the fire. From the chalet this time, i learn more about playing majong. I can say i learn a lot from chalets ba. Haha!! From the chalet, also found out my grades are average comparing it to my classmates. Guess that i would have to work hard for next semester to get better grades. I don think i too happy with my results ba!! Anyway, spent quite a lot of time playing wiii. Besides that, watched a movie that i bought along which is 'hell boy 2' and watch live soccer. That's for the chalet part i guess.
After the chalet, i went home in a cab with my poly friend, ben. I reach home on wednesday abt 1.30pm. After that, slept off as i was feeling very tired from the chalet. That time, woke up abt 3pm for lunch as i was feeling hungry. After that ah kiong asked me out and i went out after lunch to meet him and kenny at HMV in orchard. After that, made our way to marina square where kenny spent a lot of money on toys catching for the rest of the day there. In the end, kenny borrowed money from the 2 of us before he finally finished catching his last toy. I think he spent abt $200 that day. Also we had to help him carry to woodlands as he did not have enough hands. After reaching woodlands, we sent him to the bus where he headed home first before we head for mos burger to have our dinner abt 9.30pm. After dinner, met kenny again at the bus interchange at abt 10.30pm as he went home to take money to return us. After that, it was home for all of us.
For thursday, my father had a dental appointment at SGH where he wanted to make his fake teeth. He took half day leave as his appointment was at 4.30pm and came back home abt 2pm. After that, the whole family accompanied him there and he was told he needed to wait a year for his fake teeth. Anyway, after that, my whole family went for a late lunch followed by shopping around Chinatown. We reach home at abt 8.30pm that day.
For friday, i went out after our new sofa set and coffee table came at abt 3pm. This time, went out with my secondary friends. First, met up with azli and yaqin at bishan at abt 6pm. Azli wanted to eat first so went to mcdonald's. After that, we took MRT to AMK and walk around amk hub before jeremy and saleh reach. After we met up with them, we headed for dinner at a nearby food court. Then waited for the last person which is azri as he book out of police camp only abt 7pm. After everyone reach, we started playing LFD(LAN game) at abt 8.30pm. We played until most of us actually forgot the time lol. Anyway, we finish playing only abt 11.30pm. After that, the rest went to supper at mcdonald's. I went home early as i know i need to rest early for my cousin's wedding the next day. So i took the bus home from amk abt 12 midnight and reach home abt 12.30am. I did not sleep early as i was hungry and had cup noodles before i actually slept at 2.15am.
For saturday, it is my cousin's wedding day so i set my hp alarm for me to wake up at abt 6.30am that morning. So i woke up at that time, after that my whole family were preparing as we needed to be at my cousin's place at abt 7am. Anyway, we reach abt 7.30am that morning and surprised to find out we were still early. Ya, forgot to mention my cousin is a female. So we reach early and that morning we actually got to see how the groom and brothers got tortured by the sisters before going to pick up the bride which is my cousin in her room. After that, the bride and groom went to the groom's house while the rest of us remained and waited for her to return.
After the tea serving cermony, we went home to rest and relax for the wedding dinner at night.
The wedding dinner was held at holiday Inn parkview at orchard road. My family reach there abt 7pm and the dinner room was not open so we were outside waiting as more and more people arrive, we were serve drinks outside. First time for me, need to wait outside for a wedding dinner to begin. Anyway, i think this sucks already. There's more later on lol. We waited until abt 7.30pm before we got to go in and waited for the dinner to start. Were told that the dinner will start in 30 mins so everyone was chatting and catching up. After that, the most sickening thing is the service there really sucks as the service was so slow that some guests left before the last dish was served. Anyway, we finish the dinner and left with my uncle's family and my grandma as my uncle offered to send my family home. Before that, my uncle sent my grandma home before sending my family home. We reach home abt 12 midnight yesterday. After that, went for supper with my mother and brother as we were still hungry. We had mcdonald's and watched the first half of the man united vs sunderland match there before buying food for my father and went home after that. After we went home, i bathe and sleep at abt 2.30am.
For today, nothing much, decided to stay home and rest as i was quite tired after a long week of events. Ya, also planning a ite gathering for the chinese this sat. I will be going for a jb trip on 12 oct too. For next week, so far tuesday is my brother's enlistment date into the police force, my family will be going, wednesday i will be on a cycling trip with azli and sat is the ite gathering. That's life for me next week!! Will update again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I left off the last blog saying i will be cooking dinner the next day which is last wednesday. So i cooked dinner that night, i guess cooking fried rice was not as easy as i thought. I thought the final product which is the fried rice i cook was not really very good as some of the ingredients got charred. Anyway,talking abt cooking, i shall be cooking tonite again for dinner. It is like a weekly thing to me already as i cooked once almost for every week in my poly holidays.For last thursday i went to grandma's to visit her and catch up with my cousin over there. For last friday, was asked by wee kiong to accompany him to recruit express. So i went to orchard to meet him at abt 1pm that day. After that, we went to recruit express where he applied a form which helped him find a job. Anyway, till now, i guess he was not inform for any offers of jobs ba. After that is done, went to walk and window shop around orchard area. Decided to watch a movie since it was raining after we had lunch that time. We watch a korean movie that day. The movie is abt vampires and how they killed humans for blood. It is named 'thirst'. The movie was ok only as the story is somehow typical and a bit boring and quite a gore i would say. For last saturday, i guess i was called by ah kiong and we decided to go look for lijin to show her some concern for recent matters. Anyway,before that i thought of asking azli out as he would be gone for hari raya in malaysia the next few days. I guess i found out i made the wrong choice the later part of the day. So in the end, i met up with ah kiong in the evening about 5pm. We met up at the amk library as ah kiong wanted to return some library books before going to amk hub to look for lijin that night. I guess the visit of some sort to show our concern was unsuccessful. That night, i guess i should not have appeared in front of her ba. After showing my face for less than a few seconds, she don even talk to me at all and just walk away from me. Before that, she still got talk to ah kiong. At that moment, i was a bit stunned.I thought i did not do anything to her before. Further more, i did not say anything to her that night other than the few SMSes i sent. Actually, wanted to surprise her but in the end, i was left with no words for her actions. I guess if i had not appeared that night, maybe she can have a good chat with ah kiong ba. I guess besides being stunned, i was a bit sad because we actually came all the way to amk hub to show some care and concern and wanted to ask abt the upcoming malaysia trip and to catch up as we did not meet up for a long time liao. Anyway after that, i thought cannot blame her for her actions since she was rather in a bad mood ba. After the incident, we proceeded to see the game shops in amk hub before heading for dinner at amk hawker centre. While on the way to the hawker centre i saw some of my secondary friends which i did not contact since secondary days. Just walk passed them as not really close to them. The day sort of ended after dinner at the hawker centre. I had duck rice while ah kiong had hokkien prawn noodles. So i reach home abt 10.30pm that night. Actually, when i went home that night, i thought of messaging lijin to show concern and tell her i am her friend, not her problem and i won't force her to talk abt problems she did not feel like talking abt. Anyway, did not do that. I guess that is my only weakness towards girls, some of the things i might not express as well as to guys ba. I think that is much, much harder. I mean if you know me well enough..... This is for those friends who know me should understand ba. Ok, back to the events. I shall continue the things for last sunday. Last sunday, my father was not working due to hari raya. So in the afternoon, my father suggested we went to a temple to pray. My brother did not follow us on sunday as he had to do his revision driving lessons for his upcoming 4th traffic police test today. So i went out in the afternoon with my parents to a temple in chinatown, after that went to maxwell hawker centre to have lunch. After lunch, we went to suntec as suggested by me for the food fair in suntec. Not too many people there as expected by me, but the things sold i think are not very cheap, only reasonable ba. We had thai shark's fins over the food fair only. After that, went to look at the things father would love to look at which is electronics and electrical appliances at harvey norman, then carrefour.In the end, besides buying bags for myself and brother. The three of us would then end up buying a brand new sofa set. What i would not agree is that, father actually bought a glass coffee table for 69 dollars. I feel it is a waste of money. Anyway, it will be delivered next friday.That day, father spent a lot of money. Anyway, i thought that when father is at home, we tend to spend a lot of money. This is true for most cases lol. He is better off working ba. After buying the furniture from carrefour, we headed for MRT and ate dinner at hougang mall area before going home that day. For yesterday, spent the day at auntie's place a few blocks away from ours. My cousin is getting married next saturday, so the whole family was invited to her house to collect cakes. It was a great day as the whole family including my uncles, aunties, cousins, grandma was there. Been a long time since the whole family was there, all the catching up was done yesterday i guess. Found out we will be celebrating my grandma's 79th birthday next month on 17 oct. For this week, a new event coming up when be on sat, a gathering with my army friends. For next week, will be a rather busy week for me. Next monday to wednesday will be my second poly chalet, will be keeping my fingers crossed as no details had been released yet. Thursday or friday will be meeting another group of army friends i guess, also not confirmed. For saturday, will be my cousin's wedding day from morning till the wedding dinner in the night. The wedding dinner is at orchard's holiday inn hotel and restaurant. So far, these are the updates in my life!!! Will update again!!!!!!!!Look out for more!!!!

Abt sunday, thought was going to COMEX again but surprised to find out actually they are not going to COMEX. Met up with my secondary school friends at abt 4pm before heading to penisular plaza where azli look out for new clothes that he wants together with me, jeremy and yaqin. After he bought t-shirts, jeremy also found jeans that he wants and also bought them. After that, we headed for the MRT as we decided to go AMK for LAN gaming, suggestion from jeremy. On the way there, saleh called while the MRT was reaching dhoby ghuat and he say he was at PS. So due to the turn of events, we ended up meeting him at PS. Shopped around PS for a while as azli was leaving to help his mother move some new furniture bought. He left us at abt 6.40pm. Then we window shop around the mall as it is almost breaking fast time for saleh. Then, we decided to eat pastamania for dinner, so the break fast time for saleh and we ate dinner before heading to The Cathay to play LAN games. This time it is better for me as the 4 of us played as a team in the game 'Left for dead'. I felt quite ok playing as a team and enjoyed the game more than the other time where i played alone. Anyway, played for 2 hours before the shop closes and we finished playing at abt 10pm. After that, slack a while and talk abt the game before going home. Saleh send me home on his bike again as we parted with jeremy and yaqin. This is the third or fourth time i guess, a bike ride can be enjoyable i guess. Anyway, quite grateful for him sending me home time and again. For yesterday, i went back to school in the afternoon for the notebook clinic at 4pm where the company technicians came down and help us check our laptop and i sign up for the slot from 4pm-6pm. I told them abt my problem with the laptop and it took a while for them to check. Anyway, i stay there the longest among the people there. Anyway, it took 1 hour for my case. That afternoon, a bit rush for me and didn't even have the time to eat lunch. Anyway, i ate lunch after the notebook clinic at abt 5.30pm. I had SUBWAY as there was not much i could choose from. After eating, i scrolled over to the Singapore poly graduates' guild house to hand my application for the bursary. I reach home at about 7pm yesterday.Today nothing much for me to do, so i stayed home. Actually decided to cook fried rice for dinner but had stomache in the afternoon so decided to abandon the plan and cook tomorrow. Will update again.......................

After finish watching the drama, this week i go out mainly because of COMEX ba. Today will be going again. Later going with my secondary school friends. Anyway, the first time on thursday went COMEX to just look around and walk. Second time which is yesterday, went and bought the norton anti virus 09 for $39. From last blog, the movie i watch was G-force in 3D on thursday as it is much more cheaper watching it during a weekday. Considering going to COMEX for 3 times, but i think quite ok because sort of going out with different groups of friends i guess. For this week, i also made a decision not to work this holidays so that i can enjoy myself to the fullest. Reasons that come with it is i had not really any holidays since the ITE days after i graduate from ITE. After graduating from ITE in 2007, i enjoy abt 2 months of holidays i guess before working at IKEA tampines for 1 month and then entering the army. In army, there's no such thing as long holidays. Longest only 1 week lol. So this 2 years in army really sucks. Therefore, i want to enjoy to the fullest this holidays that i have. Anyway for today, i thinking whether to buy a handphone today at COMEX. What a decision lol! Sian! For next week, should have time to start exercising i guess. So far, my plans are on monday(tomo) to bring my laptop for the notebook clinic in school and thursday is a trip to my grandma's place with my cousin. Also next week, should have time to cycle finally. Relive the memories, cycling bought upon me. Got to love it! Update again guys!!!!

Drama days at home this few days.................

From the last post, i with my brother cook dinner for the second time this holidays. This time, got soup, fried chicken wings and fish nuggets and steam egg too. Not too bad, just that the soup a bit bland cause did not have enough salt. Long time never cook, so trying to refesh my memories of cooking dinner in the past secondary school days for the family. Ok, from monday till yesterday, i finally finished watching the chinese drama ' Xian Jian Qi Xia 3' and it is within 5 days only. Good achievement i guess! Anyway, next up for me in the holidays will be exercising and cycling. First, the new bicycle i bought together with my brother needs a bell and a lock before i can start riding it out i guess. So need to buy those 2 stuffs first. After that, cycling can be done and i will need to run also to get back the stamina. Long time since i run i guess. Cycling is always one of the passions i have in life. Remember when i was young, my father will always bring the whole family out cycling from place to place. Like from our home in hougang, we go to toa payoh, bishan, serangoon and etc. We even explore the secluded area of sengkang before it is now. Memories on the bicycle for me, forms a big part in my childhood i guess. Anyway, after watching the drama, it is day to go out lol! Going to watch a movie and the IT show in suntec today. What a weekend to kick start my holidays..............

Recently the blogger a bit crazy but lucky still can update. So those interested still can see what i have been doing recently. As you guys would know, i finish my exams on a wednesday nite, thursday i officially start my holiday period on a thursday. For thursday, what i did was nothing much actually. For thursday, decided to cook after my army years of not cooking. So morning after breakfast with my mother, went to the NTUC in my neighbourhood to buy potatoes, fish nuggets, eggs and chicken wings.Also bought oil, light soya sauce and chilli sauce as been a long time since anybody actually cook in my home.In the afternoon, went out with my mother and decided to try the new MRT circle line and taught my mother how to go to my grandma's place at braddell taking MRT from hougang. Anyway, went bishan that afternoon and window shop with my mother for a couple of hours before going home to cook our dinner. Bad start as we found out that the deep fryer was not working, had to cook the wedges we cut from the fresh potatoes in a wok and that took a long 3 hours to finish cooking. The bad thing is not only that but we cook a bit too much as my father ate outside and the rest of the family end up eating only the wedges we cook, then we were full already. So the chicken wings and the rest, didn't even cook as our stomachs had no place. Eating potatoe wedges for dinner. So sian!!! Anyway, the good thing is my father fix the deep fryer late in the night when he came home. That's thursday! Friday was a busy day for me! Morning, went to meet ah kiong to help him carry things home from chalet, after that went to his home and chat before having lunch with him at bukit panjang plaza, then i went home for abt 1 hour before heading out to meet for secondary school friends for dinner at abt 8pm where i reach home very late about 12 midnight that night. Saturday, went out with ah kiong to the fair to look for dvds and later meeting kenny at abt evening time where he wasted money on catching soft toys at ps and marina square. Had dinner at kfc marina square before heading home. For sunday, spent the time in the morning watching a new chinese drama 'Xian jian 3', then in the afternoon, went out with my brother and mother. First, went to downtown east for a clothes fair and together the 3 of us bought some clothes. After that, headed to the Giant hypermart in tampines to look at bicycles, my brother and i would like. After that bought 1 bicycle and my brother decided to ride back home, so in the end, my mother and i went to take the shuttle bus to sengkang and had dinner at compass point before heading home and reaching home at abt 10.30pm. As for today, not much except for watching the chinese drama i mention, watch almost half the drama lol. Thinking of cooking dinner tonite, nothing to do also. Catch you guys later!!!!!!!!!!!

Finally, a few long weeks of studying and exams, i am done with the first semester of my first year of exams in SP. After 2 years of not studying,back to exams for me, was a big struggle and i am so happy after the final exam paper today. Anyway, worry later about the results. Now it is the time to enjoy and play big time. Woohoo!!!!! So happy and all the stress are over for these 6 weeks holidays. Hoo!!! Things i planned so far are getting a bicycle, getting a decent handphone,maybe shopping for clothes and i say maybe. Continuing will be cooking cause i actually i miss cooking. In my life, i think my passions are with cycling, cooking and hiking i guess.Still for the holidays will be visiting my grandmother and catching up with my cousins, secondary friends, army friends and ite friends.Looks like that's a lot to do huh!!!! Anyway,it is the time to do all the things as i will have all the time for these holidays. Gonna love it!!! Wonderful feeling and so, so happy!!!! For poly friends, we are still quite far apart i guess, till now no official meeting out yet. I guess hope there will be something in the holidays ba! Another part of my life which is missing is 'love'. Long time since i dwell on this topic i guess.22 years of my life and not 1 relationship. So sad huh, anyway, it is a fact in the long time coming!! Huh, nothing much i can do!!!

Second blog post of the week, major achievement for my blog in the coming months i guess. Cause being a SP student, i have busy with a lot of school work. Anyway, some feelings in me for the past few months after i officially ended 2 years of my national service. Being a SP student for a few months now, i thought this first semester for me was quite a rush with actually only 13 weeks of learning for the modules after the 3 weeks break in between the terms, the first week, MST week and the revision week which is next week. Anyway, i spent the first term of this semester having to serve the remaining weeks in army and coping with studies after abt 2 years from stopping them. Therefore, i thought the first semester was a rush with the only 13 weeks of study and exams are now only abt 1 week away. I find the stress of studying as compared in the ITE days where i have more personal time than now. Having serve NS for 2 years, makes me stop passions i have like cycling and cooking. It is a long time since i actually cycle and cook. These are passions and things that i like to do in a long time to come and i have the chance to do all these during the holidays after the exams. Really looking forward to it as finally i will have more personal time for myself, family and friends. For now, the things at hand which is the most important is the 4 exam papers i will be facing for the 2 weeks of exam. I seriously hope i will not failed and have to repeat any one of them. This is the fear i have now. Though hard to predict the future and outcome, i can only thrive and work hard to achieve what i want which is results that i passed the 4 exam papers. I seriously hope for the best for my studies. Therefore. before i study hard for the upcoming week, i shall play and enjoy this weekend to the fullest as i will not have the time in the upcoming week. So this weekend, time is all on my side. Already a good start after typing this blog post, still a lot of time left to play and enjoy. Wonderful and great feeling after a long time. Haha!! I guess i will have time to update you guys again this weekend! Till then.......................................................................

Exams approaching in 2 weeks.....................

I guess the past weeks was quite a bit of a struggle with reports and presentation to be completed. Anyway, this is life being a SP student i guess. Ok, finally finished the last presentation which is CRS at abt 7pm with my group member of boon siang, jian hui and wei guang. I guess this is the hardest presentation ever to come by. So for this weekend's theme for me will be enjoying to the max cause from monday next week i will start my studying regime i would say and using the whole of next week to revise on my work and prepare for the upcoming exams which starts the week after next. Anyway, seems like everyone is in revision mode after all the lessons officially ended this week. Exams in poly is definitely not easy as compared to the tests or quizes we taken so far. I hope practising the past years paper will help me along with my revision. I guess going to wish myself luck on this exams which actually going to happen after 2 years of rest from study, serving NS which make me a bit stupid. Anyway, for past national day long weekend, i was reciting the pledge at 8.22pm when i was having dinner at KFC in marina square during national day itself along with the whole restaurant. What a moment it was!!! Anyway, was quite proud as a singaporean and for myself i guess. First time, watch 2 movies in a day also as we watch 'UP' in 3D and GI JOE in marina GV cinemas. That sort of concluded what i did for national day. Not much for now, will update again this weekend!!!!!!!!!

A brand new month, lazy old me getting lesser and lesser posts, haha!!!

Today is the first day of a brand new month.From the last post, this few weeks i had been busy with individual formal reports, group reports, last few practical lab sessions, a factory visit for 2 modules,a STD talk and etc.During few of the weekends, got different events like my brother's bursury presentation,niece's one month celebration buffet,going to visit my grandma,going out with friends and of course rushing the individual formal reports. Ok, to conclude the last post, i just got my MST test result for food science and i got 70% for it. Overall, i never failed the MST for any modules until now. Though i thought i will, but nevertheless, exams are scheduled for the last week of this month of August. I am scared of the exams as the standard of MST and exams are totally different.When you compare, MST is about only 10% of what the exams have to offer. I have the fear of failing any module and needing to repeat them again i guess. Things happen during this few weeks in class i guess, the popular one being the jia lin topic, followed by the sparks i witness between boon siang and charmine i guess. Anyway, jia lin's issue is the more cruical one i guess and attracting the most attention in class. Anyway, i guess this show that love can be a good thing or bad thing.Maybe this so-called crush he has is wrong, or to him maybe it is his feelings. But anyway actually in the world of love, there's no right or wrong i guess. He's just doing it too extreme and this might end up ruining his life. As my advice goes, thinking too much especially when it comes to love maybe not a very good choice,being happy is the way of solving problems and happiness is found by yourself and not others.The others can only help you but it is up to yourself to help yourself. Good luck and brace up jia lin!!! Ok, for this weekend, i started going out on friday evening after doing a group lab report which is yesterday. I went out with ah kiong and kenny to ps as kenny wanted to catch some soft toys from the arcade machines. Spent quite a lot of time with them there. I am a kind of person not interested in these machines, so i was just accompanying them yesterday. After that, we went to kfc and had a chit chat over there. Last,we went to marina square and to the arcade machines and continue catching soft toys.Of course, i just went to take a look. After that, went for dinner at singapore flyer's popeye chicken and biscuits fast food before heading home. Today, went out with my secondary friends, met and went to play LAN games.I guess this is the first time playing LAN game for me. Actually, wanted to play together but the game 'Left for Dead' only allows 4 players at a time so i was left alone playing the stupid game. Through this, i found out playing LAN games like this can help build teamwork and good bonding for friends BUT only if you play together as a group. This is not the case for me, as i was left alone playing the stupid game and i felt bored during the play as they played together for 3 hours but not me who play for 2 hours and stop as i was so so bored.Being left out is not a good feeling i guess, anyway cannot blame anyone as they don't know the game is suited for 4 persons. As i say before, happiness is the way out of problems. So i was also happy to see them play i guess as i did not think i know how to play the game. To say in accurate terms, i am not a type of person for these games i guess. Nothing much after that as we went to long john sliver for dinner before heading home. Ya, today took a ride home from saleh on his bike so i reach home before 11pm today. Always feel good taking a bike ride home as i love the wind when i am in the ride. Although i hate the dangers surrounding the motorcycle when on the road, but i think my friend here is a safe enough motorist as i took the ride for a several times before. That's about all! First ever food and nutrition day in SP...............

Today waited 3 hours for this thing. Anyway, nothing much. Just gathering of all the food science or related course students from year 1-3. Presentation by some of the 3rd year students that had gone for overseas trips to present their experience. In these groups include 2 of my ite friends that had gone overseas attachment with me in ite. 1 of them is kelly, she went to ireland for attachment recently and another 1 who is feng xian that went to Dalian in china. Memories flow in my mind as feng xian's group presented as photos of the places of interest in beijing like great wall of china. I once with her, kelly and 2 of ite friends travelled and had our attachment there in beijing in ite. I guess i sort of miss those days. A lot of things changed i guess. They are already in their graduating year while i just started my studies all over again as a year 1 student. My studies was forced to a stop as i finished my ite studies as i serve the country as a armour trooper in the army for 2 years. Ok, back to being a student was not very easy for me as i stopped my studies for 2 years already. I think i am trying very hard ba. My MST results left 3 more papers which 2 of them that i will know the results tomo le. Can only hope for the best ba. Hopefully, i will pass all of the tests ba. Will update when i am free. That's why this week cause i quite free. Haha!!!!!

Long 1 month plus since i type my last blog entry.......

Starting again from the last blog entry, from what i can remember, I spent the first week of june still as a NSF and as a full time SP student.The weekend on a saturday i spent doing my last guard duty for the camp and my unit. Quite memorable as i reflect during guard rest that day. I remembered doing the first guard duty abt 18 months ago. It was a 2 hour duty followed by a 4 hour rest. Long memories of the guard duty i have done. Moving on, it was holidays for me as a student in the second week of june. Started the second week of june, with a chalet organised by my poly class, quite a way to start with the holidays i thought. Good and quality time spent through the monday till wednesday with my poly class. Got to know some of them better ba. Ok, after that went back home on wednesday noon before going back camp as it was my ORD week. I finally going to ORD after 2 years of national service in the army as a armour trooper. Thinking back of the moments, a lot of memories were build and share among all my army friends. Ok, so i went to camp early on wednesday for the last medical checkup before ORD. Found out cannot do must wait till thursday morning. Anyway, went back early for nothing. In the end, that wednesday was a last nite's out for us as well. Decided to go home as i got a lot of things to bring home before friday. So went home to put some of the things i accumulated over the 2 years in army. That night, go back and reach camp at abt 11pm. Thursday, spent the morning doing SOC test and after that doing nothing and enjoying the aircon in the mess room for the rest of the day. Then came friday, morning was the last SOC test for me and the rest that didn't pass. Last SOC test, everyone was like playing a fool, doing things like walking past the obstacles, walking instead of running. It was like playing lol but very fun and we enjoyed that. Haha! After that, it was almost ORD lol as we packed our last few things in the almost empty cupboard of ours. We also do a bit of area cleaning, making the area neat and tidy.(last time as well) We were release that day and finally ORD at abt 4.30pm. 1 Of my army friends and i put some of the heavier lugguage on another army's friend van to help us as the van was too cramped for 2 of us. So my army friend and i met up to collect our lugguage from my other army friend at outram park MRT. After that, then decided to take a cab home together with him as his things are far more than he could take. I finally reach home. Ending my day with my beloved pink IC and becoming a NSman, ORD, ORD, ORD lol!!!!!!!!!!
For third week of june, second week of my holidays was spent doing assignments with my poly friends and at the same time also enjoying. As for the fourth week of june, last week of holidays, i spent the week finishing up the assignments with my poly friends and studying for the 5 upcoming tests when the school reopens with a break on sunday(28/6) as i went out with some of my army friends for a gathering and celebration of an army friend's birthday by watching the movie Transformers for the first time and later catching up with them by chatting in the food court in marina square. After that, we split and i follow 2 of my army friends to chinatown to look for handphones. After that, as i did not have an idea of what handphone to get, we went to vivocity which is the nearest to look for handphones that i like. Kind of narrowed down what handphone i going to buy and still thinking what to buy till today. Continuing, i started sch with the first test which i hated which is maths. By the end of the week, i finished all of my 5 tests. I thought i will fail some and pass some borderline having finish all the tests. Ok, starting the celebration off and back to my relaxing life. I started with the friday evening, a last minute meeting with my sec sch friends watching the transformers for a second time after dinner where we met up at abt 8pm. The movie was at 9.30pm and ended in the midnight. We ended the night after the movie and took a cab home as 4 of us shared a cab. They sent me home first as i was living the furthest of the four of us. I reach home that night at abt 1am. For saturday, I went out with my ite friends. Met up with 2 of them in the afternoon and walk around at plaza singapura before heading to AMK hub in the evening to look for the other 2 of my ite friends. Met up, received my belated birthday present and watch transformers for my record breaking 3rd time, my most times watching a movie so far. After the movie, went home and reach abt 11pm that saturday night. For sunday, it was a zoo trip with my sec sch friends. Met up at 11.30am but some people came late and we ended up reaching the zoo at abt 1pm. Bought tickets at $18 per person and started exploring the zoo for my first time since 10-12 years ago. Was enjoying the day till abt 4.30pm when the heavy rains hit and we were force to leave the zoo early as one of my secondary school friend was already sick in the first place and he needed to leave for home and rest. Some of us then decided to go for dinner at J8 in bishan. We had dinner at KFC. After that, going for shopping before going home. Reach home abt 9pm that sunday. Bathe and finished up my formal report at abt 12midnight before going to sleep. What a weekend! Enjoying, fun but a tired weekend which i am suffering the effects of cough and sore throat. Classes finally resume yesterday with me getting my first test paper back which is MIP. I didn't think i did well with the score of 62 marks. Today, just got back my second paper which is chemistry. Ever since entering poly, it seems like i had become a busy person i guess. In and out of camp, i go and also studying in singapore poly. Poly stuffs are like never ending i guess. A lot of things like reports, reflections, a bit of presentation and research to do. Week in, week out, it is like that lol. Like to join a CCA, but i guess not now. Not the right time anyway. Training with studies very tiring lol. Now got free time at home, usually is sleeping during weekdays. Luckily weekends got time that i make for myself to go out with friends. Talking abt this weekend, actually suppose to be studying for a quiz on tuesday but yesterday went out. Today also going out for a friend's brother wedding banquet held in tampines in the afternoon. Meeting my friends abt 2pm later. I guess i will study in the night. Nothing much in camp, just waiting to ORD i guess. 2 more weeks left, getting nearer lol. Going to be free soon, so looking forward to it. As for poly, looking forward to the holidays. But after holidays i would die lol cause all the tests are coming. Another thing i hope to see is going out with my poly friends cause up till now, i still have not went out with them yet. One thing good though, we are getting a chalet on my ORD week lol. I have to plan how to go for that lol. Nothing much at the moment, will update again i guess.

Long time since i blog i guess. Anyway, this few weeks, a lot had been happening like changes in my life, my birthday, back to being a student and army stuffs. All these events just makes me a busy person i guess. Having little or no time to blog though. This is a long weekend as labour day falls on a friday. I shall talk abt the major things that happen over this few weeks i guess. From the 13 april week, i was already preparing to start my poly life in SP. That week, went to poly for their orientation which was schedule for 3 days that week. I thought it was a waste of time though but i got to know the way and how to go look around for the classrooms i would be studying in SP. That week was going in and out of camp as it would be for the future weeks before i actually ORD as a soldier serving in the army. After the orientation week, i started and went back to the life of being a student. But before that actually started, i celebrate my 22nd birthday with my some of my ITE friends on the day of my birthday on a saturday. We went to eat and then watch a movie 'TAKEN' at cathay cineleisure. As it is the first week for school, most lessons had not started except the maths lessons. Anyway, first week is always the easier week in school i guess. First week passed very quickly as i still got to go in camp for my SOC training in the morning before going for my lessons in school. Second week of school which just passed, i was kind of more open to the classes and my new friends made from my class. Starting to feel the stress as next week will mark my first lab report as a group from this practical. Never really done one before so a bit nervous. Should get better once i settle into the poly culture i guess. Though one thing i found out is in SP, they are a lot of donations we need to get. Like eg. from the start, the orientation includes a flag day for all the new students in SP to attend and just before this week's long weekend, i rec'd yet another event's donation card requesting us to ask for donations again. Sucks man, so many things to do for the school. Huh, why so miserable in SP, i am not a very rich student already lol! Sian!

Anyway, it is another long weekend for us. 2 long weekends in a month, feeling too good to go back camp tonite. Huh, anyway tonite is 1 of the less 10 book ins on sunday for me till i ORD lol! Good to think of it that way i guess. At least, it is faster thinking of it this way. Starting school soon, another then the actual school term starts, a bit sian i guess. Long time never study lol. Ok, this week is back to 5-day working week in camp. While i have not started to clear any offs or leaves, i will be clearing them once school starts i guess. Maybe to be exact after i rec'd my timetable for school. Anyway, i will be getting my timetable by tomo afternoon. Then i can start planning for my offs and leaves already. Ok, back to this week's long weekend. I started with booking out on wednesday afternoon abt 4pm. Proceeded to wait for ah q at CCK lot 1 shopping mall, while me, junming, james and chen long decided to eat kfc there. While i waited for ah q, i asked the rest of them to go eat in the kfc first. Anyway, we reach abt 5pm, then i started waiting for ah q till abt 5.20pm before he reach. Then, we head to kfc and rejoin the rest of them at kfc. When we reach, the rest had almost finished their food. Ah q and i then went to eat at kfc while we all had sort of a get togther session and talk while eat. After that, we went home. For thursday, a group of our army friends had a appointment for buffet. We met up with one another at abt 2pm for the buffet at 'LAO Beijing' restaurant. After a while, everyone reach and we started roaming around at plaza singapura as the buffet only started at 3pm. 3pm reach and while i was abt to enter the restaurant with my army friends, i saw kelly with one of her poly friends and i caught up with her a while before rejoining my army friends for buffet at the restaurant. The buffet started as more groups of people came into the restaurant. We had quite a feast in the restaurant in the buffet. We came out abt 4.15pm after everyone felt full. After that, the group of 8 of us decided to walk to bugis to the new cinema and watch the movie 'The sniper'. When we reach, we bought tickets for the movie and proceeded to the games arcade to look and some of us were playing. Junming then left us to meet his group of friends. Then, wai ban join us and the group of 8 were back in place. After that, we thought of going to buy drinks before the movie and we left the new shopping mall. As it was still early, we went to walk around bugis street before buying drinks nearby. After that, went to watch the movie at 6.35pm. I found out changes of the new cinema as i went for the third week in a row. The aircon was less cold with the movie starting later then the time shown. Anyway, the movie ended abt 8pm and we then went to the bugis games arcade as some of us play the games. We stayed till abt 9.45pm before we decided to go home. But then, i was quite hungry already so. We then went to eat at the coffeeshop behind bugis junction before we end the night there. For friday, actually i thought there was nothing. But my father was off that day and decided to go to pray ancestors for qing ming that morning. We went and reach abt 12noon and started praying till abt 1pm before the whole family decided to go walk abt in bishan for the afternoon. We also had our lunch at the food court at junction 8 in bishan. After that, we went home and reach home abt 4.30pm before i headed out for a BBQ in the evening. The BBQ was held at sembawang under some new HDB flats. First i met some of my army friends before heading together with me to the place for BBQ. We reach there abt 6.30pm. The BBQ is already on the way, just nice, Haha! That night finished with photos taken. But there's people have not because of their sickness last min like tick hin and samuel. Anyway, the BBQ was still a success. We spilt and went home abt 10.30pm. I reach home abt 12midnite. For saturday, went out in the afternoon with ah kiong and kenny to bugis again as ah kiong wanted to upgrade his laptop at sim lim square. After that, we went to eat kfc at bugis village before heading to suntec and marina to walk around till abt 7.30pm before heading for dinner at singapore flyer's popeye fast food restaurant. We went home after going to marina square to watch people catch soft toys. I reach home abt 11.45pm. Today going back camp lol. Update again........................................

Long weekend that started from wednesday nite book out....................

Talking abt last week, it was a short week for us in camp following the departure of the visitors in our camp on tuesday morning. In the afternoon, we had a briefing regarding the change of command parade for our Officer commanding. The actual day which was 1 day after the briefing on wednesday evening as we were told. Anyway, our CSM planned it seriously and was in sort of a foul mood that wednesday morning on we started on our rehearsal for the parade. On wednesday morning itself was a bad start as he broke his CSM's stick while shouting and scolding us for wasting time organising ourselves. Anyway, after that, we started our rehearsals from 10am. In the start was ok, but the second rehearsal was quite a disaster while we were marching stationary to a halt. After that, we practise for a few times before getting it right. Then, it was lunch and everyone was tired. After lunch, my platoon started bringing down the table and chairs from our bunk. After that done, we were all resting in the bunk waiting for the parade to start at abt 4.45pm where we would fall in. When the time arrives, the weather was not giving any face to the change of command parade for our outgoing officer in command. So we were put to a poll by our CSM whether to continue the parade or stick with the wet weather program. In the end, most people feel we should wait for the rain to stop to continue the parade though i didn't voted for the parade. Anyway, at abt 6.15pm, the rain answered most of the people's prayers and we were called for the parade. The parade started almost as soon as possible as it still look like it will still rain. Anyway, in the middle of the parade, it really rain with thunder and lightning but we still continue with the parade. In the rain, although it is 1 of the few times this happened. But it make the parade felt more memorable and meanful as it continued. This marks the last parade for my officer in command. Anyway, after that, we had a 'special' dinner in the courtyard and a lot of photographs were taken here and there as it marks his last day in our unit. After that, we packed up a bit and book out to enjoy this long weekend. This long weekend, i did quite a lot of things. First on thursday morning, went to settle my poly fees, online pre enrolment and the medical checkup which the poly requires for my admission. After that in the afternoon, went to meet my army friends for a movie in the bugis new cinema. Met chen long abt 3.30pm before heading to buy tickets for the new jackie chan movie. We bought the movie tickets for 5.25pm as one of them reached abt 4pm. After that, went to eat lunch. Ok then, we walk and explored around the new mall. Went to comics connection and chen long bought a 5x5 rubik's cube to play. When it was almost time, we went 7-11 to buy drinks before heading to watch the movie. After the movie, went to walk around bugis looking for food eventually heading to the temp food market to have our dinner. After that, the last thing before going home was to go to the bugis arcade to see people play. For friday, i started also in the early morning and meet kok tong at abt 8am for enrolment in singapore poly. We reach at abt 9am and started doing the enrolment. We finished everything at abt 9.45am. After that, decided to go vivocity. While in the MRT, i thought of going to a place near vivo which i hadn't been too which is Mount Faber. We then decided it was still early for lunch and went for a long walk in the park at Mount Faber. At the hill, we went and we explore most of the things in the park until we were very tired. We exited the park vie canopy walk in alexander and took a bus back to vivocity to look for lunch. We then decided to eat pizza hut at harbourfront centre. Reach there very tired and hungry, service sucks in the restaurant. Maybe because it didn't have enough staff. Anyway, still had our lunch there and order for student value meal with our newly made student card. The meal was a dollar cheaper with free flow of pepsi. The meal was quite filling. After that, we went our separate ways as i went home first as the morning was over. For the evening, i met up with 2 of my sec friends at abt 6pm for movie again at the new bugis cinema. This was the second time in the week i went to the same cinema. This time though the movie i most don't want to watch but was force to was a horror movie titled 'The Unborn'. We watch the 6.25pm movie and it ended almost abt 8pm. After that, went for dinner at an indian restaurant in beach road. It was not the last of the things for that night anyway. We then went to the esplande where we spent time catching up and talking abt things. We stayed there till abt 1am before we went home. Ok, to yesterday's events then! Abt yesterday, went out also but later. Met up with my ite friends ,2 of them, we watch movie also in bugis but this time in bugis junction. The movie is 'Knowing' started at 5pm and ended at 7pm. After that, we went around in bugis junction to look for letter covers for the letter as ah kiong needed to post a letter. Found it and went on to the post office in brash besar complex for him to post it. After that, went for dinner at a coffeeshop nearby. After dinner, we went to suntec to walk abt before heading marina square to look for people playing with the soft toys machines. In the end, we went home at abt 11pm. For today, same routine as it is book in day lol! Long weekend for next week too, so happy. Update again...........................

For this week in camp for me was all abt SOC as i pass my close combat training for the advance course which i attended the previous 2 weeks on monday. Anyway, for the rest of the week, i was concentrating on passing my SOC test on friday. In the end, friday came and i still fail the SOC test. Anyway, it is like a rock which fell after i had taken the test. I was stressed the whole week by it lol. Ya, glad that it was over anyway though i failed. Also this week, the foreigners came to our camp. Though i wasn't quite involved with them except went to butt setting for their live firing last saturday. The good thing is i was not involved in saturday's event and did not burn my weekend this week. So as usual, i book out on a friday nite. For weekend this week, saturday actually wanted to go out with my sec friends first but did not happen. Second, wanted to go visit my grandma with my cousin also did not happen. So i called ah kiong in the afternoon, asking whether want to go out. Then he suggested for us to go to the new cineplex in bugis which just opened on friday. So we first decided to meet at 5pm and he ask me to get kenny too. Abt 4pm, he mgs me telling me he cannot make it and ask me to go ahead with kenny. So in the end, met up with kenny at the new shopping mall for the $6 per movie in the new cineplex. Met up with kenny at abt 5.30pm in the end, afterwards went to buy the movie tickets at the top level. We then found the offer for the $6 movie is till 10 april. After buying the tickets, went to walk around the new shopping mall. Nothing much as most shops had not open yet. One of the few shops we walk into is 'comics connection'. Look for new NDS games which i like but only found pokemon platinum at $55. The cheapest price i saw was at jurong point $54 for that game. Anyway, after that went to 7-11 to buy drinks for the movie. After buying the drinks, luckily we went in earlier for the movie, cause the movie started 2 mins after the timing. Forgot to mention the movie we watched is Dragonball. Quite a short movie with great graphics and action packed. Went to look for dinner in bugis junction first, no luck for KFC there. So we decided to go to the bigger KFC opposite bugis junction. We then had our dinner there. After dinner, went to look for games shop in bugis junction to no avail. Lastly, decided to go sim lim square to look for the games. At that time is already abt 9pm lol. By the time, we reach sim lim square, 90% of the shops was already closed. After that, decided to go home as we had nothing to do lol. Today going back camp, same routine applies. Ya, the good news is i rec'd the sp enrolment package telling to go enrol for the course. A lot of things to be done but the problem is i am struck with the online enrolment. Looks like i will be entering poly this year. Happy i guess, wish is finally coming true! Looking forward to the long weekend next week, booking out on wednesday night. Thursday will be a busy day as i look to settle my poly enrolment before actual enrolment day on friday in sp.

It is back to the normal 5 day working week in army for the few of my remaining months in national service. Anyway, the brunei army is coming to our camp this week for an exchange. Something like a bilateral relations thing between countries. Anyway, i am involved in it somehow. They will be staying in our camp in our company's care for the 8-10 days i guess. After this, i can say most of my army days are almost over, just that i am still not able to pass my SOC which is something to do with my combat fitness i guess. It bothers me somehow as i will be stress by the fact that i will not be able to attend poly lessons as regularly as my army friends that had pass SOC and enrolled for this year's intake as well. This is due to SOC which i am not able to clear this till now. There will be training here and there for me to pass so i am still scared and so how stressed. Anyway, i hope to pass it before the school term starts or else i will be very tired for the months to come till i finally ORD i guess. Ok, enough abt army. Anyway, it will be over very soon once april reaches. For the 2 days weekend for me, friday went to my friend's place in bukit panjang to settle for poly's application stuffs in the morning and got free tickets for wild wild wet for 3 from my friend, then went back camp to take so mock grading thing which i need to clear in the afternoon. After that, book out and then go home. On the way home, i was thinking who to invite to enjoy the free tickets for saturday which is yesterday. In the end, i decided i would ask 2 of my army friends( chen long and junming). So met them yesterday for wild wild wet. We supposed to meet at 1pm. In the end, i met up with chen long first at abt 1.45pm. Then, we went for lunch first as junming was coming late and he asked us to eat first. After that, we met up with junming at abt 2.30pm and bought drinks in NTUC before heading to wild wild wet. We reach at at 3.15pm. By the time, we went in and change to our swimming attire. It was abt 4pm lol! Yesterday, it is the first time for the 3 of us in wild wild wet as we did not go before. The 3 of us think the place is a total waste of money if the tickets were not free as the place was not very exciting as i thought it would be with limited things to do. Somemore, we met with bad weather at the timing we were playing. Anyway, in the end we played abt 1 hour in the place only lol! We came out abt 5.30pm after changing as the weather was already very bad. After that, chen long needed to go home for dinner and junming meeting his friends for movie so we separated at abt 6.15pm. Then i went to meet kenny, ah kiong and his cousin at pastamania to collect my dvds from him. After that, we separate after they finished eating. I reach home and bathe. That's almost the end of the day after i ate dinner at abt 9pm. Today going back camp lol, same routine for the normal book in day. Update again, bye!!!!

Abt the last 2 weeks, the first week for me is a long break after my last outfield which ends 1 day earlier which is a saturday(8/3) when we return to our unit to clean our rifles in the morning. First thing i did when i return, we went back to our bunk to clean up ourselves leaving some of us behind to look after the weapons we left on the ground floor. I bathe and eat cup noodles before heading back down to clean my rifle and the rest of the heavy weapons. Abt the cleaning part, it is as usual for my platoon as the same few stayed behind to clean the heavy weapons. Anyway, all of our weapons were clean and return by abt 4pm that day. The good news is we were allowed to book out on the next day which is a sunday morning. Anyway, on saturday, it is no lunch and dinner for us so i went on for mac delivery for lunch and dinner it was KFC. I thought i spent quite a lot that day. Anyway, it was all worthwhile as it can be treated as a celebration for our last outfield we were having. Sunday morning,we successfully book out and i went straight home. After that, i got a mgs from ah kiong and we met in the afternoon at chinatown and went to the flea market there. Actually supposed to meet yiqi but heard she sprain her ankle so she did not meet us. After that, we went to plaza singapura where we watch the movie 'push' and after that went for dinner before going home. For monday, it was a day off for us in army. So i went out with my army friends, 7 of them, we met up at novena square at different times as the original timing change from 1pm to before 2.30pm as the organiser check and found out the buffet starts only from 2.45pm. I reach quite early abt 1pm as i rec'd the mgs late, that time i already on the way liao. Anyway, we starting eating abt 3pm when the things we order came. The buffet consists of things listed in the buffet menu, some of them are paos, dumplings, soups, ngoh hiang, fried rice, mee goreng and etc. i would recommend this buffet as it is very filling for those people who are very hungry and the price is around the same or cheaper by a bit i would say. After we felt we had enough, we left te restaurant and just to walk around the shopping mall as most of us were very bloated at the point of time and we walk abt to digest faster ba. After a while, we feel quite ok and decided to head to AMK to watch a movie. We decided to watch 'Kung fu chef' which features only in Cathay cinemas so we went AMK. While waiting for the movie to start in abt 1 hour, we went to the games arcade next to the cinema. Before the movie, we still went to NTUC to buy drinks and snacks for some of us. Anyway, after watching the movie we went home as most of us were still feeling full from the buffet in the afternoon. On tuesday, went out with ah kiong and yiqi. First, we met up with each other at ngee ann city and saw lijin for a while as kiong got things to pass her. After that, went for lunch. We then headed to marina square where the 3 of us spent over $100 on soft toys. That day, we were all mad lol! Anyway, i seriously think it is a waste of money. Anyway, we spent most of our time there that day. After that, we went home. On wednesday nite, i went back camp for the Close combat training which i miss the other time. I book out again on friday. Yesterday went out to jb with ah kiong and kenny. First time since 2 months ago, we bought dvds and ate kfc for dinner. First time i went to the new jb customs office, i thought the new office was posh and nice but the roads leading to it is not convient at all. It is also messy lol! I change $50 and spent most of it on the dvds i guess. Ya, that day also eat marybrown which is a chicken fast food restaurant for the first time. A lot of first times again huh, long time never had lol! Haha!!! Today is the same routine as it is time to book in again.

Been busy since january i guess. Anyway, last week did not blog cause lots of thing happen in camp. Exercises here and there. Burning weekends one after the other, finally the last major outfield which is ATEC stage 2 is here. Happening next week, though going to burn weekend again. Army sucks right? Going to ORD, yet it seems there's still a lot of things to do. This weekend is so-called long as i returned home on thursday night cause friday is a off day for my company. Abt this weekend, friday as planned by one of my army friends, we met up at abt 11.30am as we decided to eat macdonalds' at northpoint. In the end, some people were late so we started eating lunch from 12 noon and when everyone were finally there and finish our meals. We left northpoint and then we headed to our place for bowling which is SAFRA yishun. We reach the place at 1.30pm. The sad thing is we found out the bowling facility is booked until 3.30pm for an event. So we walked around SAFRA to look for other things to do. In the end , we went from the games arcade to the pool room and played pool for 1 hour over at SAFRA while hoping there will be places for bowling after 3.30pm. Gods knows,we found out other people booked all the slots after 4pm lol. In the end, we again went looking around SAFRA for things to do. After a long while, we decided to walk out of SAFRA since there is nothing much to do and we also wanted to save time. When we reach the outside, we decided that most of us wanted bowling so we looked for another place and while we walked, we saw a street directory board and showed us another bowling place which is orchid country club. We saw and thought it was nearby so decided to navigate there. Though it is a long walk, we eventually reach the place at abt 4pm. Another scare for us as we thought there's an event BUT it turn out the different schools are training for the upcoming bowling competition next week. Anyway, we managed to book a place for us to bowl. We bowl for 2 games and each lasted abt 1 hour. First game i got the lowest score of 62 points only. It was a bad, bad first game for me. i improve a lot for my second game as i got 98 points, thanks to a strike and a few spares. First time got a strike, i was so happy. After that, decided it was enough and we went back to yishun MRT station after taking a free shuttle bus. We separated from there as chen long went home first, followed by james. The rest of us went on to meet another group of my army friends at bugis and had dinner there. After dinner, went home with one of my army friends as we live in the same area. That's friday! Saturday went out with 2 of my ite friends. We met at abt 3pm and actually wanted to watch movie but there was too many people so we drop the idea and we went to eat lunch first as i had not eaten. Actually, also waited for another friend to come. She came at 4plus and we shopped around as we didn't know what to do. In the end, started playing machines picking up soft toys and i wasted a total of $30. It was a total waste of money i thought. Anyway, i only managed to get a green mickey mouse soft toy. It seemed so stupid and i doubt i will ever played the machine again. Yesterday really was a crazy day for us, after dinner, the two of them continued playing and we stayed at the place until 10.30pm before heading home. Sunday is today. Normal thing, just that went hougang mall with my family to have lunch there. Next week sucks as i am not able to return until 10 march when i come back after SOC training and the night going back camp. Sucks right? See you guys in 2 weeks!!!!

Short month BUT Feb burns the most weekend as i found out this week.............

This week sucks as i found out i will be burning a lot of weekends since the sunday 1 feb where i serve guard duty to start off the month. I will be burning another one tomorrow doing another guard duty. Next weekend of 2 days will also be burned because of some duties. This kind of army lfe really sucks huh! Anyway, 3 weeks out of the 4 weeks of weekends in feb is or will be burned. It is all because of the duties to the country or the camp or the army which makes army life more painful than that of the police or civil defence force. Anyway, to conclude in whole, the army sucks as i repeatedly comment and complain abt. Another thing which i found out this week after returning from nights' out on wednesday nite is i was selected to participate in a change of command parade( COC) which the rehearsals started from thursday straight after a IPPT test which i volunteered to take before knowing i had to take part in the COC. So i went to the rehearsal after IPPT test which ends 45 mins before only. I only had that time to prepare for the rehearsal then. It was very rush as i had to cool down before bathing and change immediately after that. Anyway, that thursday sucks. Next week, i still have 2 more rehearsals before the actual day on wednesday late afternoon i guess. Suddenly, my relaxed feb turned the other way to become busy and packed for me. That's why army sucks because of a lot of things, one of it being involved in the parade like this one. Nothing much for this week, IPPT test aimed for silver BUT again got a pass. Huh, sian! Wasted my time again, just that the good thing is improve my timing for running again. For yesterday, it was victory challenge as games were played between the whole battalion to compete for who's really the best company in the 40 SAR. My company won and we won a day off for the whole company which my OC giving as a day off next thursday. The good thing is we get to go home next week for a day instead of being confined the whole of next week. Ok, weekend nothing again as i going back camp tonite for guard duty tomorrow. But before that will be meeting my cousin at my grandma's place as we will be doing guard duty tomo, just that in different camp. Updating will continue next week.......................

Weekend after the major outfield....................

Tiring weekend i would say for me, yesterday went out with ah kiong, serene, seb and yiqi. Met up at abt 1pm before going to eat sushi buffet at cineleisure. We left the place after eating at abt 3.45pm and shopped around somerset area to wait for lijin to finish her work. She finished work at 8pm and the rest of us met up with her except for serene as she went to had dinner with her parents and left us. Yiqi also left us before the 5 of us went for dinner at kfc in cineleisure. After having dinner, it is already 9.30pm and we decided to walk in cineleisure for a while before heading down orchard road to plaza singapura where we shopped another while before we dismissed everyone and went home. I reach home abt 11.50pm yesterday night. Today, going back camp as usual so same as every sunday. I having guard duty next sunday so it will be a short weekend for me next week. Huh, army life is just so sian. Luckily for me, it is ending in months. To be exact, it is 4 months more. The bothering thing now for me is the JPAE application which begins tomo, i am still thinking abt it. Time is running out, but i have until tomo morning to choose. After this, i should be in holiday mood with no stress already ba. At least until the results are released. Haha, see you guys next week!!

CNY and short week with 3 guard duties in it.............

It is the annual chinese new year and a new year of the ox. But it is a sad opening to a new year with me doing guard duties 3 times this short week. Anyway, i already knew i was doing wednesday's complex guard duty which was on the third day of CNY. Anyway, there's still another which i volunteer in doing which was on the first day of CNY night which was a 12 hour shift as it was CNY. I thought i was not going to do another one but to my surprise, i found out last week on friday that i will be doing another guard duty on sunday( the seventh day of CNY). Seventh day of CNY is so-called another important day in the 15 days of CNY cause the chinese will celebrate the birthday of every born chinese. It is therefore known as human festival. So this year cannot celebrate with my family as i will be doing guard duty tomorrow for the third time in a week. As the guard duty thing settling down after a talk with our sgt that is planning it for us. Now the guard duty planned is more fair and we are all clear abt it. Anyway, i don really blame the sgt that much as on my part i also long time did not do a weekend duty lol. So this will be a short weekend for me as i will be booking in tonite. Anyway, hopefully there will not be any weekend duties for me in march. Or i will complain and see that something is done. Back to CNY, the ang baos collected was almost equal to last year's. This CNY, i planned carefully as i knew i had to do my duty in camp. So first day of CNY, my family and i went first with my 3rd uncle's family in his van to my 2nd aunt's house for a visit. After that, went to my grandma's place in toa payoh. Ya, all the morning, my family has been visiting relatives from my mother's side. After that, we went to my father's side relatives starting from my 2nd uncle's place to my grandma's place which houses her and my 6th uncle's family. After that, it is abt 5pm and we went back to my grandma's place(mother's) to collect my bag containing my stuffs of army which i left there earlier. My family also had dinner there. My family and i stayed there till it is time for me to go back camp for my guard duty. On the second day of CNY, i finished my guard duty and one of my sgts sent me home in his car. I reach home at abt 9.30am and after waking up the whole family. We started visiting again with visiting my first aunt's house(mother's) a few blocks away, the time was then abt 11am when we reach her house. After that, we went to my first aunt's house(father's) in redhill taking bus 132 from hougang bus interchange. Then after, we went to bedok for a visit to my second aunt's place(father's). After that, we decided it was time to go grandma's place for another visit. Anyway, it was almost a practice for my family to visit grandma's place 2 times in CNY. Anyway, in the end, we separated. My mother and i went to my mother's side grandma's place while my father and brother went the other side to the other grandma's place. In the night, my father and brother went to look for us and we were reunited before i went back camp for wednesday complex guard duty. So there's this year CNY for me. As for thursday and friday were normal days in camp. Book out yesterday night for this short weekend. Actually i planned to stay home as it was book in day for me today, but my torchlight was not working and i needed one for the upcoming outfield next monday, so in the early afternoon went to beach road to buy one before heading home. Anyway, my cousin came over to use my computer at abt 2pm. I saw him and talk before heading to beach road. I reach home abt 5pm after buying the torch and heard my cousin left my house at abt 4.30pm. Ya, this is my short weekend ba! Update again next weekend..........................

A short outfield with surprises installed after that..........

This week in camp, we had coastal hook outfield in a day(wednesday) where it is a special ops involving assault boats in the sea. After that, we went back in the night. But on thursday and friday, we train in the new urban training area in Murai which is in Lim chu kang. Quite tiring though but when we came back to camp, we found out that there were surprises installed for our platoon. The surprise was not for me actually but also involving me in some way. Anyway, this revolved around the guard duty still. This is the second week i complained abt guard duty i guess. Anyway, this time the sgt is really irresponsible and was on off somemore. At first, the guard duty on friday should involve a storeman, me and my section 2IC but due to urban ops training, my company 2IC ask my sgt to cancel my section 2IC and my name for the duty. Since then, he did not put any names for the 2 slots for the guard duty, until when we return from outfield, the bikees found that they were on duty and this shocked them as they thought they could go home that friday. A lot had been then debated, in conclusion, one of the bikees and a signaller decided to do it. The sgt was so irresponsible not only because of this but because a driver tried to call them to ask and could not get him, so he ask another sgt to call and finally that irresponsible sgt decide to put up the phone, and when ask he just reply with a answer of 'oh'. Anyway, the whole platoon of mine decide to talk to him on next week after CNY. Ok, done with army stuffs. Now, today is already First day of the ox year. I wish everyone a happy and joyous ox year. Normal week in camp as duty calls upon our company for this month till after chinese new year. Actually this just means doing more guard duties for this month. Just did one on last friday, and what's worse is doing guard duty after a 8km route march. I was so tired after that though had to perform the guard duty. Suppose to book out in friday. Anyway, because of guard duty can't book out. But saturday had an open house cum chinese new year celebration in our unit was force to bring family members as to book out early on saturday afternoon. Anyway, brought my mother and brother to my camp for the open house. Had an appointment with my insurance agent to collect my insurance policy after the open house held in camp. But anyway, i sort of was release early at abt 1pm with my mother and brother. After that, i rushed home with them. Reach home at abt 3pm, pack things and 10 mins after, went out as i was late for the appointment. Went to meet her at bugis and reach at abt 3.45pm. The good thing is i got the policy finally, talk to her for a while before heading to vivo city where i supposed to watch a movie with my friends(seb and ah kiong). Watch the movie at 5.20pm. The movie is Red cliff 2. The movie was exciting with the fighting scenes, though the movie ending is not very great but overall the movie is ok. After the movie, it is already 8pm and we went to had our dinner at chinatown hawker centre where i spotted a empty table by luck very quickly. I had sliced fish soup and rice that day as i was still coughing and decided to take something light that night. After that, we went home at abt 10pm. Sunday as usual! Update again next week!!!

New year of 2009 and camplife resumes to 5 days work-week lol!

A bit not comfortable as previously in december had a lot of long weekend. So when new year hits and i resume my normal soldier life, i feel not adjusted back yet. Anyway, the past week in camp was outfield for 3 days and 2 nights of mission based exercise from tuesday to thursday night before we came back to our camp premises. The exercise was not as tough as i expected, quite relax through. Ok, normal routine resumes and we book out on a friday night for this weekend. This weekend actually nothing much as i think was a bit tired after the outfield ended. Saturday went out for a while with a company mate of mine in the evening and play arcade games in suntec before going home at abt 10pm yesterday. Yesterday also last day for the open houses of the various polys. Actually planned to go but in the end because of time, decided not to go after all. Anyway, the application of JPAE also have not started for this year. Need to ask MINDEF soon before the application opens for the poly i guess. Hopefully can start my studies in april this year. Today, same going back camp lol! This upcoming week so sian lol cause saturday got open house in my camp so have to stay till saturday afternoon before coming out from camp. Sian lol! First post of the year 2009.................

It is the first post of 2009. Before looking ahead of what should be installed for me, first we should update the following which is the last week of 2008. Abt this last week of year 2008, before that, i had a long christmas weekend, for this last week of 2008 is the same, i also had a long weekend even longer than the christmas one. Anyway, i returned to camp only on monday nite which is the 29 dec. That whole day started with my body not feeling very good as i suffered from flu, sore throat and cough. Anyway, i still return back to camp without fail as i feel it is only a day in camp and will not do anything serious to my illness. That night, i went back to camp feeling restless and tired from the illness. I went back to camp to rest for the next day. The next day supposed to take a SOC test but did not take as i was really not feeling well. Anyway, there was nothing much after that. I successfully book out in the night, though i was not feeling very good but better at that point of time. Went to eat at jurong point with a group of army friends before going back home to rest for this long new year weekend starting from last wed till today. All the while this time, my illness though it is better but my flu is on and off. Anyway, went out for new year's eve with 2 of my ite friends. Met up abt 3pm before we went looking for lunch and had pasta at the pastamania in cathay cineleisure before walking around orchard and watching a movie at cineleisure itself. We watch IP man at abt 5.10pm till 7pm before heading down to plaza singapura to shop around. After that, went to SMU to play wireless game of mario party before heading home for that day. For new year's day itself supposed to be going out with my secondary sch friends, but there were no news and in the evening i was bored so went out with 1 of my army friends to suntec to walk around before heading to bugis to have our dinner there. After that, i headed home. For friday, i went out with my parents as my father return with the news that he would not be working on sunday starting this year. He returned in the afternoon and since i had no program and my father proposed going to the airport which he hadn't been to the new terminal 3 since it opened. So i follow my parents to the airport that afternoon, we started walking from the newest terminal 3 where we dropped from the bus 27. We walked through all the terminals and viewed all the viewing malls to see planes. But my parents and i were disappointed to see the viewing mall as it is grown smaller and smaller over time. Remember when i was young, my parents would sometimes bring me to the airport for a walk. I remember the viewing mall was bigger and there would be a lot of planes for us to watch and see. Anyway, we went to the budget terminal even as i wanted to ease my curiosity for the terminal itself. Disappointing results in the end, there was nothing much to see or watch. But anyway, remember i wanted to i-weekly which i forgotten to buy it earlier in the week so bought the i-weekly there. After that, we took a bus and went back to hougang central where we had our dinner over there before heading home for the day. For yesterday, i also supposed to meet my sec friends but to no avail. So same thing since my father was around, i suggested going to tampines to walk around. It was in the afternoon that we decided to go. But decided to go in the evening abt 5pm, my brother didn't go as he met his friends for an overnight cycling trip. So my parents and i headed to walk tampines. First, we decided to go GIANT hypermart in tampines before heading to tampines central to shop the malls over there. So we reach home late yesterday abt 11pm, i descibe late cause my parents seldom go out till so late. Haha, with me around, very hard to say. Anyway, that's the whole long weekend for the new year. Today finally, it is booking in day and for me to return to camp for the outfield week ahead of me. Sian, long holidays had ended. Time for outfield training to carry on, although i hate it but nothing much that i can do i guess. Hopefully, i will suffer through this last few outfields ba. Let's pray for the best!!! It is a long weekend install for us in this december. For this long christmas weekend, i almost went out everyday. i book out on christmas eve on last wednesday afternoon. For thursday which is christmas itself, i went out with my ite friends of ah kiong, lijin and calvin. Ah kiong and i met up first at abt 3pm. We met up and had lunch before calvin and lijin joined us at abt 5.30pm. Found out the reason why they were so late cause at first i thought we were meeting up at abt 3-4pm. Lijin went to a saloon in orchard to get her haircut done. Anyway, we went window shopping in vivo for a while before checking out on a advertisement on a steamboat buffet featuring the shop in a rather deserted place in vivo which is a corner behind 'DAISO' departmental store. Went to take a look there and decided to have our dinner over there. Not too bad a place, just that the seafood found there are not very fresh. Example is the prawns are frozen and very soft. Anyway, still quite filling as i had my fair share of food there. On Friday, went out with a group of army friends for a ktv session at K-box from 12-3pm. After that, went to beach road with them as 2 of us wanted to buy some army stuffs. After that, we went to bugis where we play in game arcade and after that settle our dinner in the food court in bugis junction. For saturday, nothing much so stayed home and play computer games plus NDS. But in the night, went out with my family to have our dinner at hougang point. It's been a long while since i went there. Anyway, not a very gd dinner there as there are not a lot of nice food stalls there. Yesterday which is sunday went out with ah kiong to watch the movie transporter 3. Not a big screen as it is on sneak preview only. Anyway, a nice movie to watch for the action and drama in it. I also bought the bao qing tian 2008 part 2 which recently released. Bought it at blue max at $15. Then, in the evening after the movie, we went to SMU and traded pokemon using our NDS there before heading back home. Today going to book in. Normal routinue, just that i am feeling not too good today due to cough, sore throat and a bit of flu. Will update again...............

A long weekend cause of clearing leave for me.........

Came out on thursday night after doing nothing the whole day BUT area cleaning. Anyway, i think our csm is mad that day. Anyway, reach home abt 10pm that day. Friday was a BBQ planned by my sec friends. So i went for it and met them at abt 5pm. Together we bought the bbq food and utensils. Then, we waited for the latest person to meet us there which is jeremy before heading to east coast park, taking taxi as we had the bbq stuffs to bring over. We started the bbq at abt 6pm and spent the time in the park eating. Another of my sec friend then joined us at abt 7.30pm as he went to gym and was riding motorbike. Anyway, the rest of the time besides bbq, we were playing poker cards. Play with a bit of money, abt 10-20 cents before we decided to go home at abt 12.30am. Saleh sent me home since we live close to one another, while the others took a cab home as they live in the same area. Anyway, that night's food was a bit strange and the next morning i sort of had a small stomachache. But i still went out in that saturday afternoon with ah kiong. We met at abt 4pm and ate lunch at far east plaza KFC. After that, we shopped around orchard as i was looking for a christmas present for the companymate i was supposed to give. Found the ideal gift at TAKA, bought it and went to plaza singapura looking for wrapping paper. Didn't found it so i decided to buy it another time. After that, went to chinatown to look for dinner there as there are more choices available. I was left with $2 at that time. So we went to the hawker centre that is reopen and found a $2 roasted duck rice stall. Decided to eat at that stall BUT i ate roasted pork rice instead at the same price. Anyway, after that went home. Also ah kiong bought for me a christmas present, a NDS game. This is the second time he bought for me a NDS game lol. Thanks a lot. A bit awkward for me as i hardly give him any presents. Anyway, nothing much to say as i think people who understands me best know my character has to do with this. Sunday afternoon went to aunt's house a few blocks away to celebrate my cousin's birthday. She had a lunch buffet there and i spent a gd afternoon with my relatives there. Came back before the soccer match between singapore and vietnam which was shown on channel 5 live. Disappointing results as singapore crushed out of the tournment. Anyway, nothing much for today. Booking in only today as i am on leave. Going back to camp lol. Will update again!!! Bye......

Another week passed, this is a 4 day week cause of hari raya. Anyway, it started from tuesday, where we prepared a logistics inspection next week. It is a busy week for most of the platoons as our whole company prepared for this. For HQ platoon, i guess for me, i am quite ok. maybe because i got all the simpler tasks ba. Nothing much happen in camp i guess. Tomo going for second combat shoot in this year. Boring for most of us cause have to shoot, then later still must clean the weapon. For weekend, i guess it is the normal routine for me. Saturday and sunday only ma. Because of the shoot tomo, have to book in earlier so sian lol. Anyway, yesterday went out with ah kiong and i bought a nds game at ps to play on my nds lite. Before that, went to meet the insurance agent to resign the policy which i sign for before meeting ah kiong at national library. Nothing for yesterday i guess. And ya i forgot to bring in soap last week and was borrowing soap from my bunkmate for the week. So awkward as i use his bathing stuffs for the whole of last week until i got to buy it on friday afternoon cause e-mart only open on friday last week. Today, it is the same. I not going to repeat i guess. It is almost the same. Haha! Will update again! Bye!!!!

It's been a long while, 2 weeks since i updated my blog i guess. Ok, the last post was before i went to a 4 days 3 nights outfield. For that outfield, was ok with enough rest for us(the troops) each night i would say. Anyway, things was quite ok as i bought bread for the 4 days of hell in the field. We wouldn't have such luxury when doing the actual evaluation i guess, surely the rest time wouldn't be that much because it is a mock war situation and in war, we fight and kill or be killed. Ya, it is great since the outfield is over as our company had a long weekend after the outfield with us clearing 2 days of leave on the following monday and tuesday. Last week, since it is a long weekend for me. Quite glad since it is well spent. On saturday, as usual went to meet ah kiong. Sunday went to meet some of my army friends for steamboat buffet in the evening. Before that, met up with 1 of them and went to expo for the IT fair there. For the buffet, it was good with the price of $15 except it doesn't come with drinks. First time actually went to meet army friends during a weekend. Ok lah cause this bunch of my army friends were closer although not from my platoon but known them as they were my ex-platoon 6 mates. Sometimes, also a good experience to come out with them. Monday went to settle my bank matters with 1 of my army friend who also wanted to open a UOB account. After that, i went with him to suntec city to take a look at the remote contolled cars which i was encouraged to buy by my bunkmates as they were also buying to play along. Bought 2 of those at Carrefour supermarket and found it was not so good. Good price= good quality i think. After that, saw another 3 of my army friends at Suntec when i was paying for the cars. We then went to play games at the arcade and had dinner before going home that day. For tuesday since it is a book in day, the normal routine for me resume as i prepare to go back camp that night except i brought back one of the cheaper cars back camp that night. For events last week, since it is short week, for wednesday i was assigned to help the armskote settle some things for some check. Thursday, nothing much except for the cohesion dinner and BBQ night. Enjoy quite a bit and great night i would say. Friday was short day as from morning we had a NE tour to the same places as the one in last feb. Anyway, we were released at 1pm after the tour. After, 1 of my army friend and i went to suntec to walk abt but before that was stop by a prudential company agent and i bought a plan of 25 years with yearly having to paid $870. Anyway, could save me a lot of the money by then although it is going to be a long wait i guess. This week was another long weekend because of hari raya. For saturday, went out with ah kiong. Later met lijin and calvin after she finished work at 7pm at tiong bahru plaza. Went for dinner at chinatown and after that we walk around before going home at abt 9.30pm. As for yesterday, went to visit my grandma with my cousin and brother as usual. Spent the day and catch up with my grandma and cousin. Great day spent i would say as usual. Today, nothing much. In the afternoon, went to tampines for lunch and to toy-r-us to buy another remote controlled car. I thought quality would be better but i guess it is almost the same. Time running out for me again! It is a normal and peaceful week in camp as we prepared for next week's outfield training of 4 days and 3 nights. Anyway, nothing much really happen. We had OC parade on tuesday and found out that OC like parades like this and told us, he would try to plan every month to have one much to everyone's dismay as we will need to prepare our smartest uniform to wear for every month then. Anyway, as soldiers esp. NSFs, we don't really like parades. Since it is a normal week without much training, there's a stand by bed that week by one of the platoon sergeants. Don't know is reason for that But anyway. Nothing much i guess he just wanted to check and wanted us to pack our cupboards. Ya, this week, my 84mm section of 5 men book out on a saturday early morning at a 7am as we had live firing of the GPMG which is a multi-shot machine gun. Most of us were very sian as we couldn't book out on friday after the live firing as instructed by our company 2IC to clean arms after we came back at abt 1.30am. That day, i slept at a 3am and slept only less than 4 hours. I reach home on saturday morning at 9am after eating mcdonalds' breakfast opposite my house. Reach home, bathe and sleep for abt 2 hours before waking up and went for lunch at abt 2plus. So what's for the rest of yesterday? I went and met up with my secondary friends at vivocity at abt 5pm. We had dinner and chit-chatted till abt 9pm before going home. So it is a short weekend for me this week. Anyway, today going to book in again. Same routine for today i guess. Just that the thought of outfield training next week sucks. It is not a short one lol. Looking forward to a long weekend next week as leave is planned for us. Will be struggling just to pass this week's training i guess. Definitely would be tough i guess. See you guys next update! BYE!!!!

ATEC stage 1 week......................

It is ATEC stage 1 week in camp for me this week. Anyway, i wasn't much involve except helping out in the stores on the first day of ATEC which is tuesday. By the end of the week, on thursday night, we got the results of ATEC stage 1 which is the best record any unit would have had which is Redcon 1. The top band of the so-called exam of my ns life. Anyway, although i was not really involved in stage 1. Now moving on to stage 2 where the whole unit would be involved one way or another. This would be the outfield exam for us, a very different kind of exam where it would test esp. the commanders and troopers in the battalion for fighting a group of trained enemies in the field. Abt these, i would very much be involved in it during start of march which is the first week. The overall exam for a unit like mine. But before that, starting of january, we will start doing our outfield practice for the march final exam. The tough training will get going in gear to it's max again. But before next year starts, i will be having a 4 days 3 nights field camp during the last week of november this month. Anyway, after that i will be enjoying during the month of december. Hopefully, this last week of this month will pass quickly as it will be hell to me. Ok, moving on to this so-called long weekend that i had spent. Thursday night book out, after that, went home as friday night having battalion annual dinner and half leave was taken from us. In the morning of friday went to my specialist appointment at AH. Nothing much as i should have recovered, just a normal appointment i guess. Shouldn't have any appointments i guess if my ankle problem does not come back. After that, went home in the afternoon to rest for the night where i travel back to the west in jurong east where the dinner is held at CHERVONS again. No different from last year i guess, just that the food sucks more this year. Had lucky draw but didn't win anything as usual. After that, went home. Saturday, went to watch high school musical 3 at tiong bahru plaza with ah kiong. Met for lunch at 3 plus before the movie which was screened at abt 4.30pm. After that, walk around before heading to marina to see the food and electronics fair at suntec city. Reach suntec city abt 6.45pm, went for the food and electronics fair, after that went to walk at the book fair as well at level 6. Nothing much after that, because abt 8.30pm lol. Went to TS to look at cds before we spilt for home. Update again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This week in camp, it was abt victory challenge and a mock test for ATEC stage 1. From monday, the victory challenge started and ended off with a champions' challenge on thursday. Our company lose by a margin as explain by our OC after the results was announced. Anyway, we still had nights' out on that very night. We still have everything to gain anyway. Seems like i spent a lot this weekend lol. Thursday night spent, friday also spent! Not mentioning yesterday, had buffet dinner at sakura in orchard road which spent 30 dollars that night, just for the dinner alone. Anyway, close to abt 60 dollars for one weekend huh. Isn't this expensive weekend for me? Ya, anyway abt yesterday before meeting calvin and lijin in the night. Ah kiong and i went to jb to watch the latest 007 movie in the afternoon since we had limited time as we had to meet calvin and lijin in the night. The movie was not too bad with action almost in every scene. Abt the yesterday night, we were talking and eating until the very end as usual. I sort of started to get in the atmosphere and talk a lot of 'true' things abt myself i guess. Anyway, all of us had a good laugh because of me. Cause who are i? The Great LYC! Haha! Anyway, in my heart, i always tell myself no other guys are more handsome than me and i really felt so. Ya, although this might sound like a joke but it is really a confidence booster for me to do things ba! I think now maybe some people might think i am really thick-skin .But anyway, let's see how it goes in the future ba. Haha! Sometimes, being a bit thick-skin, isn't too bad after all. i think maybe i learned this by a friend of mine named 'LIJIN'. Haha! thanks a lot. Different people, different character But when they mixed together for some time, they will have some similar characteristics in some form ba! Haha, praising yourself up to the sky sometimes, is a wondeful feeling! So happy yesterday, well spent time with my friends. Got to love it! Today, normal routine resumes! Got to go for lunch now. Next week is back to 5-day normal work week after the long deepvali weekend. Anyway, this week a bit stress cause last week to practice for my upcoming test for my heavy weapon that i am using and specialised in. Next week is the mock test and after that week will be the actual thing for my unit already. I am a bit scared cause if the testers ask me to do. And if i stumble, it will affect the whole unit's results. Anyway, that's this week. It is over. Don't feel like thinking so much. This week also got night's out, first in a month i guess. Anyway, to my weekend i guess. This weekend is so packed i think. On saturday, met 2 groups of friends. In the morning, went to jb with friends for a malaysia trip where we bought dvds and ate pizza hut over. We left for singapore abt 2pm and i went straight to marina square from woodlands bus interchange by taking bus 960. It was a long trip and i got to rest and slept on the bus. When i reach there, all my sec friends had reach. Anyway, we then discuss and watch the movie named 'REC'. It is a movie in spanish and to me, the movie just sucks. I thought it didn't look like a movie and is a waste of money lol. Anyway, we came out after the movie and hang out talking and catching up with one another. After we went home and i reach home abt 10.30pm. Slept abt 11.30pm before waking early for sunday which is today where i met up with 2 of my army friends at east coast park. Supposed to meet at 9am, although i was a bit late but i am still the earliest lol. Anyway, we then rent bicycles and skates. 2 of us with bicycles and 1 with the skates. We rented for 2 hours and after that went for lunch before leaving for home at abt 1pm. One of friends followed me in taking shuttle bus to sengkang before we leave fro different places. i reach home at abt 2pm today and rested for 1 hour 30 mins before i was woken up by a friend mgs. Then i play FIFA 07 till 6.30pm before typing this blog. That's all folk. Time is rushing me!!! BYE!!!!!!

A bit different for this weekend.................

Suppose to be a bit packed this weekend but......... Ya, anyway today suppose to meet up with my sec friends but i mgs him in the morning and ask him. He reply with a wait. So i waited and waited cause normally we would go out quite late anyway. So in the end waited till i went for lunch and continued waiting until i got tired and went to took a nap till 7plus. In the end, i realise i was not going out after all. A bit sian but long time since i met up with them. I guess i wasted 1 of my weekend. Should had got to my grandma's today. Anyway, going to grandma's place with my cousin tomo and straight after back to camp after this so-called long deepavali weekend. So typing this blog today instead of the usual booking in day. That's why this post is named this way. Also been 1 month since i went to visit my grandma, it's high time i guess. I guess i am quite looking forward to it ba. As for yesterday, went out with ah kiong and kenny where we watch '20th century boys' movie at GV vivocity. Also a long time since i watch movie there. Therefore, i suggested to watch it there. At first, supposed to be watching painted skin BUT kenny didn't want to watch it so we changed the movie. Before that, we met up at chinatown to eat and walk about. For this week in camp, gone outfield for most of the week. Either to help in the stores or as enemies to support the training as the different platoons went outfield for the various days. So sian lol, actually this thing is also planned for us last minute and actually only my 84mm section was arrow instead of my platoon. I feel it was so unfair for us as things were arranged so last minute like just few days before the outfield. And only 84mm section was asked to help out in the stores but the platoon. Anyway, life's never fair! Not different from outside i guess, life is always the same, hard to be fair. Army even worse, sometimes they don even try to make things fairer. Conclusion for this statement is army really sucks, it sucks among the 3 national service offered for us. See you guys again!!! Haha!!!

A week starting for weapons training till nov............

A month long training had started for me after a long weekend. i went back to camp on monday nite. Tuesday started on my month long training for my specialised weapon till mid nov where i might be tested for the various tests of the weapon. Anyway, i was quite stress for this week ba, although it is the first week, i am also feeling the stress. It is like the stress when taking exams but it is in practical form only. Anyway, now my bunk started having problems after the heli-borne live task till now. Luckily it is only minority not the majority. Anyway, 2 of them are having a cold war sort of thing going on i guess. It's been almost a month since. i guess it should last until someone does something abt it. I hope not i guess. Anyway, i just don want to care so much. Anyway, my platoon always have problems ever since i was posted in. It is just that the problems was not surfaced out only. This week's major happening is our CSM gone mad on thursday morning and check us on our hair and area cleaning and demanded us to do it every morning. He wants to check now every morning and evening until he is sastify. Therefore, we are having an inspection on monday morning and as well for this week. i wonder when he will stop.That's why i say this is a stress week for me. i guess this is the week in camp ba. Glad that SOC training only lasting until 10 nov which is next month. I guess should be able to endure ba although it is tough. As for weekend, it is a normal saturday and sunday only. Nothing much, just got to meet ah kiong yesterday to watch movie butterfly lovers and in the night met lijin after her work. Her boyfriend, calvin was doing guard duty so didn't see him yesterday night. Anyway, on friday, she mgs ah kiong saying she will be bored for the weekend because of that boyfriend reason i guess. Anyway, met up at abt 8pm, took a bus to plaza singapura where we had dinner at pastamania and walk around there after that. A normal weekend i guess. Nothing much happen, back to the normal routine i guess. 2 days of weekend is just so short, is it? Anyway, recently i guess i been having a lot of long weekend ba, until when it is normal weekend of 2 days, i would feel rather bored and feel that 'sian' feeling all around me. Huh, looking forward to the next long weekend. Army also so sian and sucks. 8 more long months to get out of the cycle. Been wanting to get out of this camp from BMT lol. Update again! Bye folks!

Ok, for the past week i had a long weekend as stated from my title of this blog. Anyway, it is a short week for me in camp. 3 days only, in these 3 days, the only training is on tuesday which is our first SOC test for us in our second year as soldiers. Besides that, monday i went out to a live range to help out the stores, in the end become sentry as there was no one else to do it! Wednesday was a book out day with easy activity with games and nothing in the afternoon. We book out in the nite to enjoy our long weekend ahead this past week which i had spent. So fast, it is monday already. Long weekend had ended for me as it is book in already and back to camp tonite. Abt the long weekend, thursday went JB with my friends to buy dvds and eat pizza hut. After that, went back to singapore at abt 3.30pm. Then went to causeway point to walk around before we decided to go airport to walk for our first time in terminal 3 since it open. Walk about, i felt that T3 has much more shopping places than T1 or T2. Ate our dinner at popeye's fast food before we went back home. 1 of my friends then followed me home as he wanted to watch a drama which i have. After i reach home, lend him the disc. Then later he went home. That was end of thursday. For friday, spent most of the day at home before evening came where there was a bbq for my HQ platoon for the first time so i went for it. Actually on that day, it is also my PC of previous platoon which is 6. His birthday celebration was at Novena where they having steamboat for his celebration. But i sort of rejected it as HQ was having this bbq for the first time. Anyway, that night's BBQ was a normal one i guess, just a gathering for the HQ platoon. Nothing much except i drank beer and vodka that very night for the very first time since my overseas attachment which is last year. It seems like drinking beer, liquor or wines for me is a yearly affair. Anyway, for me, drinking all these is for socialising only. I think my drinking for these is actually not very good as i don't hold out for long. That night, i came home, rested a while before i actually dragged my body to a bed. After a short while, i was knocked out. So drunk i guess. Anyway, before i knocked out, i was so hot and found out my whole body was so red. I guess that's the reason i knocked out that night ba. Anyway, drinking is not good. Huh! The next morning i wake up early as i was hungry, woke up at abt 5am and went for early breakfast that saturday. My mother accompany me and i decided to have macdonald's opposite. My mother had the new wasabi fish burger meal while i had hotcakes meal. Finish breakfast and reach home abt 6.15am. After that, went to bathe and watch dramas on dvd till abt 9am before feeling tired to catch a nap until abt 11am before i wake up and continued watching my drama. At abt 2pm, went for my lunch with my mother. Decided to go to hougang bus interchange to eat at the foodcourt. Had fishball noodles over there before we went to NTUC in hougang mall to walk before heading home and resuming watching my drama. Until abt 7.30pm, went for dinner with my mother again, third time in a day. So basically, the whole of saturday is spent with my mother. Hardly had this time with my mother, especially on a whole saturday. Anyway, not too bad to spent time with her either. After all, she's my favourite parent among both. On to sunday, went out with ah kiong for the second time this week after the jb trip. We went to bugis and met up abt 2.35pm. He was looking for his care bears to collect. After that, went to suntec city to catch the movie house bunny. After that, he receive a mgs from kenny to meet up at causeway point for our dvds. We travelled from marina to woodlands in bus 960, it took abt 1h30mins before we finally reach causeway point. An incident that happen in bus when it is at bukit panjang was the back door was spoilt and some of the commuters was not very happy and some even slam the spoilt door open in order to get out of the bus. The funny thing is that sometimes, the door is ok but sometimes it is spoilt. Anyway, i had my dinner there at the foodcourt before each of us headed home at abt 10pm yesterday. For today, book in day for me. The same routine as before i will stay home and prepare. Nothing much. So long for this long weekend i guess. Back to army lol! Sian!

The outfield week with SOC training before that.........

This week, finally had my first SOC training for quite a while since i skipped a lot of the training recently. Anyway, last tuesday SOC training was relax with the 1.5km run with LBV load and 5 sets of 3 obstacles training. Quite ok performance for me for the first SOC training in a while. Anyway, wednesday started outfield training for the whole battalion, it's been a while since the whole battalion went outfield together. Anyway, this was quite a relax outfield training as it is just river crossing for the armoured vehicles and for us to do the practical part for the lesson we learn in camp as we got to practice. Throughout the whole exercise, we were in the vehicle, first time did not mount the vehicle at all. Also for my old commanders, their last outfield. As they handed over their duties and prepare to clear their offs and leaves before they finally ORD in second week of november. They brought quite a lot of good stuffs to eat. They seem to be enjoying this very moment as their last outfield. My last outfield seem so far as compare to them. Long way to go i guess. We were enjoying more than complaining for this last outfield. Anyway, the next one i know will definitely be a tough one for me. Anyway, came back on friday midnite and start cleaning arms for myself. Anyway, was very tiring as i got sick for the first time for outfield. Slept at abt 3.45am that day. Slept all the way until 9.30am that friday before cleaning my 84mm gun which i finish cleaning before lunch. After lunch, since i was so tired and sick, went up to bunk and sleep till 5pm before heading for dinner and on to book out at abt 9pm. Anyway, weekend was good. Saturday went out in the afternoon to watch eagle eye with ah kiong which started from 4.30pm and ended abt 6.30pm. After that, took a bus to orchard road to meet calvin first before meeting up with yiqi and boyfriend, after kelly and eventually lijin came to look for us while we met to eat seoul garden that night. Had a fun time cooking food and eating food, i think that night, i eat lots of prawns and chicken. Anyway, got time to catch up with one another is always good. Enjoyable time that night filled with jokes and laughter. I think everyone was enjoying, great night! Haha! Gatherings always so enjoying, always like and will always be. Today, nothing much, very much the same for every sunday i guess. Booking in lol! See you guys again next week!!

Another 2 weeks since i updated, cause last week was doing guard duty on sunday so only spent 1 night at home. Short weekend but managed to skip all the SOC training last week. The first one skipped because of the guard duty on sunday, second one on wednesday morning cause of the rain. The thursday training was skipped cause i book out on wednesday nite for my off day on thursday itself. I had a long weekend ending today as i book out on wednesday nite. Today, the break finally end with me going back camp tonite. i book in 1 day later instead of sunday cause of aan advance off given by OC as on Hari raya i will be in the field and burn so i will still be booking out on friday this week. Anyway, the long weekend always ended faster as times really fly when you are outside camp. Anyway, last thursday and friday spent it with my family. Saturday, went out with ah kiong to watch 'connected' the movie. After that, went to walk abt orchard road before going to meet calvin and lijin for dinner at nite. Had dinner at hk cafe and talk while having dinner before leaving at abt 11pm. Sunday was spent at my grandma's house as it is the day to celebrate her birthday. Well spent day as we got to interact with cousins and relatives we seldom seen for quite some time. Of course, the nite ended with the first ever night race in the world in singapore which my family went to watch at home on TV. From 7.30pm to 10.30pm, the start till the end, it is a thrilling and entertaining race throughout the 3 hours. Ya, that's all about my weekend i guess. Today, book in day again, as per normal, spent the day home. Nothing much for now, just worry abt SOC training as i had not been training for close to 2 weeks. SOC training will resume this week i guess. Doubt whether my leg will be able to take the impact from the high jump from the low ramp. Let's see ba will depends on the position i am in that day. I will start this with monday's combat shoot at nee soon camp's 100m range. The shoot was not bad with my perfect score of 8/8, even though 1 shot was give away as the target went down itself. It's just day shoot so we return in the afternoon after all of us shoot finish. Anyway, after that, we went back to our camp to eat our lunch and clean our weapon. After cleaning, went to prepare for the field camp on tues and wednesday. On tuesday morning , went for the brief for this field camp. Then, afternoon, move out for the short field camp. Throughout, this short field camp, our section was deployed as enemy so as to train the other sections from the different platoons. We came back at wednesday afternoon and same clean our weapons to a 100% and were told the good news of having nights' out that very night. So in the end, we went for it and were told to return by 11pm that very night. For thursday, it is book out day because of bloc leave for the company on friday after just SOC training in the morning and in the afternoon, it is revision for the heli-borne ops for this tuesday live run. For me, it is another nights out as i got guard duty that friday. So for this week, i had 2 days of nights' out for me. Anyway, went out with 1 of my army friend that 2 nights' out. First one at choa chu kang Lot 1 and second one at bukit panjang plaza. I just continue having a lot of leave and offs unclear i guess. Anyway, i will have time to clear them before the year end ba. Saturday, went out to orchard lido with ah kiong to see any movies we could watch. Found nothing so went to walk around in orchard area before evening where we decided to go chinatown to the cd shops over there. We then had our dinner at kfc over there. After that, traded pokemon to my pearl version so that he could restart his diamond version to replay. Anyway, we went home quite late as we finished trading. Lucky for him, he was able to get the last bus 190 before the bus went away. I reach yesterday at 12.30am. That's all! Nothing much for this week i guess......................

2 weeks of events to blog abt..........................

It's been 2 weeks since my last blog. Anyway, last last week was a short week for me as i had guard duty on sat(30 aug). Supposed to be a long weekend as friday, my company book out at abt 4pm. Since i had guard duty on saturday, it became a nights out for me. Nevertheless, i went home to put the dirty clothes that were needed to be washed as there was a field camp that week and the uniform was super dirty from that outfield training. Anyway, went home that friday and reach at abt 5.30pm. Just rested and put the dirty clothes and watch some parts of a drama series before i went out at 6.30pm and back to camp for the guard duty the next day.Before that, i went to lot 1 to meet ah kiong for dinner and pass him the olympics glass from mcdonalds that i collected for him that night! It is that rush. Anyway, that week didn't get a chance to sleep on my bed at home, kinda of sian, Huh! Ya, saturday guard duty.The guard duty only highlight was me doing sentry for the first time in months and that night we order canadian pizza for our supper. It came at abt 9.30pm where we were preparing for the staff parade at abt 10pm for the duty personnel in the camp. During guard duty's rest time, planned for a meeting with my cousin as my brother's cathay voucher expired on the sunday itself. So on sunday, after i book out, went straight home. On the way home, my cousin called as he needed to use my computer as his computer broke down and he has some army stuffs to settle online. So in the end, we met at my home instead of the cinema where we would watch the movie. So in the end, i reach home abt 11am. Felt hungry while waiting for him to arrive so went opposite to pack back food for me and my mother. After i reach home, i saw my cousin already as he arrive. So he use my computer to do his stuffs while i waited for him. Waited and waited till i fell asleep as i was too tired from the guard duty that saturday. After he finish, he woke me up and we discuss abt where we would be watching the movie. Saw all the movie timings, in the end, decided to watch death race as my cousin still had to rush to buy things from the IT fair(COMEX) that day.I brought all the things that need for camp as i know i would not be coming back home and would be heading to camp after that day ended. The movie we watch at the Cathay beside plaza singapura. After the movie ended, went to COMEX and search for the things my cousin wanted. He finish buying his things at abt 6.20pm before we parted our ways as i needed to reach camp by 9.00pm. So i decided to take 700A to bukit panjang to have my dinner over there before going back camp that nite.
Abt the week just passed, it is a simple week which kick off with the combat shoot on a monday where SAF is giving 2nd year soldiers like us $200 if we got marksman(80% of the target) as a section for the shoot. Anyway, the day shoot left us with abt 79% as 2 persons out of 6 persons results pull us down with us needing 1 shot to hit the target of marksman. However, there were still chances as there is a night shoot. As the day drawn to a close, came night. Nite shoot for was a nightmare as it perishes our hope for the money due to 1 person getting only 3 shots out of the possible 20. After that monday, the rest of the week, tuesday morning was SOC training following that was cleanning of our rifles. Wednesday also cleaning arms. Thursday done guard duty again. Though friday was a book out day but also filled with surprises as an external body wanted to check our rifles and vehicles for their servicevility. Due to this, we book out late at abt 8pm. Ok, enough with the events in camp. Weekend for this week, yesterday went out with ah kiong to kallang leisure mall which is near the national stadium. After that, went to plaza singapura to look at new dramas and walking around. After close to 8pm, walk down to TAKA to look for lijin and calvin. Bought yiqi's present and then to dinner at cathay cineleisure. Went to eat pastamania before going to heeren to HMV to look at movies and songs. Parted at abt 11pm, reach home abt 12.30am ba. Today is going back camp day, nothing much, same routine i guess. So far it is like this..................... Wait for the next update!!!!!!!!!!

This weekend is another short and normal weekend ba. Anyway, seems like it is a week of raining. And it is still raining as i continue to update my post today. Ok, this weekend started with a book out on friday at abt 7pm where 1 of my army friends ask me to watch the fireworks with him that very night. The tickets was balloted as usual in the afternoon with me not knowing as i was helping my storeman at that point of time. Anyway, i still got to go as my friend invited me to. Anyway, we reach there at abt 8.30pm and waited for the fireworks that night which was from france. Before that, was a whole series of performances like fire shows, bands, indian dances, showcase of military band and etc. We waited 1 hour as the fireworks was delayed i think. Anyway, the fireworks was shown at 9.30pm that night. After that, we head for kfc for dinner at bugis as there were too many people at the marina area. After that, we went home and i reach home at abt 12.30am. Saturday went out with my ite friends to watch the fireworks and met at abt 3.30pm. Met up with kenny and seb first at the somerset MRT station and waited a while before ah kiong came. After that, head out to cineleisure for lunch at KFC while waiting for yiqi. Anyway, even after we finish our food, yiqi still have not reach. I guess her being late style still remains. Meanwhile, we went to see if there is any movie to watch while waiting for lijin to finish work at 8pm. Then came yiqi at abt 4.15pm. Found a movie where all of us agree to watch and went to ask how long the movie is as ah kiong say that lijin is an impatient person which will complain if she's the one waiting for us. But i think actually we could watch the movie as it finishes at 8.15pm which is only 15mins after lijin knock off work. I think 15mins is ok for a person to be waiting esp. if they are friends, not mentioning she is just waiting not one but for a group of friends. Actually, i am not the only one to think this way too. Seb also feel that 15mins for waiting is not a long time. Anyway, in the end, ah kiong decided not to watch the movie as not to make her waiting for us. In the end, we decided to play at cineleisure level 9 where there are lan gaming, wiii console sets for rental, ps3 consoles and x-box consoles there as well. We booked a chamber for it. In the chamber, were 2 computers, tv plus the wiii console set. seb and i were playing on the computer while kenny, ah kiong and yiqi were playing the wiii games. In the meantime, i tryed the e-sizing of my new army uniforms on the website and it work. Yes, finally submitted the e-sizing of my uniform. Anyway, we spent 2 hours in the chamber. When we came out, it is already 7.05pm lol. We then went to walk around TAKA while still waiting for lijin to knock off work at 8pm. At abt 8pm, we went to look for lijin and took a bus over to marina square where we waited for the fireworks to start at the foodcourt. The fireworks started at abt 9.10pm. After that, seb and i ate our dinner at the foodcourt after lijin found a place for us. For the rest, they went to yoshinoya for dinner. After dinner, it was already 11pm. We then went home. On my way home, saw calvin at the esplande. Found out that he was doing some preparation work for the army half marathon this morning and was not allow to book out. Anyway, reach home around 12.30am, the same time on friday nite. Today, a normal day as soon will be preparing to book in for another week in camp.This would be a long week with outfield on tues and wed and guard duty on wed and sat. Army life still sucks while i still left with 10 months of service. Talk more when i return for the short weekend of half day on next sunday! Sian!

Short week pass, time to resume to the normal 5-day week again...............

Reality is cruel. Isn't it? Anyway, time for me to resume my normal army routine i guess. Back to the jungle(field training) with my super heavy weapon. It just sucks, it been almost 5 months since my last outfield training. Anyway, my first outfield is ard 1 week from now, it will be a 2 days 1 nite. I think it will not be easy for me. After all, it is a long time that i have not been to the field. I guess i will not be the only one i guess. Anyway, let's enjoy the urban life in ns for now ba. Talking abt this, next sunday, on the 24th, there will be a army event which i am suppose to be in. So i guess, alll of us will be burning that sunday morning as well. Don't want to think abt this, as i still got guard duty on 30th, a saturday. So sian, huh!! Nothing can do except to accept the fact ba. Anyway, looking at the bright side, i am left with 10 months of service in my ns cycle being an NSF. Hopefully, it will pass quicker than i will ever imagine ba. I guess this is reality. Bad or good, you can only take it. Abt resuming this normal weekend for the first in months, i guess it is rather short as would others will think too. Anyway, just went out yesterday to buy something army stuffs at beach road. Quite a lot of people there. Anyway, bought what i want, by then it is already 5pm. Then i went to meet ah kiong at ngee ann city by taking a bus to orchard from a nearby bus stop at beach road. Met him and he got something to pass to li jin before we went to watch a movie at 7.30pm. We watch 'journey to the centre of the earth'. Quite ok movie to me. Filled with laughter i guess. Before the movie, had mcdonalds as ah kiong wanted his archery glass to complete his set of 5. After the movie, abt 9pm, we went to eat again at the taka food court at the basement of taka. As usual, the route home was walking down orchard road to SMU before heading home for the both of us. Saturdays was back for me, but i sort of wanted a monday nite book in more. Reality is as it seems , huh! 5-day week starting tomo, huh! Wondering what it would be like, a long week ahead i guess!!! Sian, when would my army life end? Could it be any faster?

Old friends reunite for the 2nd straight week +the NDP show 2008

Continuing the details of the last post.........................................
Last week, ah kiong, li jin, calvin and i met for the first time in a long while. Anyway, it was quite last minute as i waited for ah kiong to finish editing his IT project before calling lijin after her work. Ya, ah kiong told me these abt 6.15pm that day and ask me to call lijin to see whether we can meet. Anyway, i decided to call lijin when it was abt 7pm which is the time she finished work. She was surprised to receive my call as she thought we would not be meeting. Anyway, we still met up and went to meet calvin at ang mo kio where we had dinner at mcdonald's for it was suggested by me so that i could collect the coke glass. After dinner, we went to look around game shops as lijin was looking for a game to play on her NDS. Finally, she found the game and she bought it and then after we went home after that.
Back to this week's post, we had an early book out this week on friday as the battalion had our day off after the east coast park run which was finish by 10.20am. On that day, i was helping the conducting officers and went out early with the advance party of store together with the officers. I forgetten to sign my 'book out' book, so i decided to come back with them to sign the book and also to help them unload the stores. When i went back, then realise the COS had help me to forge in the book. Anyway, i thank him and had my lunch in camp at the canteen before going back together with 2 of my army friends taking taxi home. They came back because they did not meet the running time of 1hr 30mins for the 10km run. Anyway, reach home at 3.30pm that day. Rested for that day at home with me watching and completing my drama series. For Saturday, the actual day of NDP 08, we had to reach the floating platform at 1pm. i went there early as there were clearance that had to be done. Anyway, reach there on time. Anyway, we move off only at 2.30pm and only required to be ready by 4pm. As the show started, my seagate 2 team did what was required of me but after what was done. We decided to stay at the place for the last time for the last fireworks performance over there. The fireworks were great from that view and the NDP 08 finally ended for us. We then stayed to be dismissed. Anyway, we waited till 9pm before my company finished their work. Then, we took quite a number of photos with one another. Anyway, lijin and ah kiong was waiting for me to eat dinner together as they went there to watch fireworks also. I met them at pastamania to have dinner together. On the way there, met yiqi and boyfriend. Chatted for a while before rushing to meet the rest at pastamania. Surprised to see calvin there, as he was recalled to camp that day. Anyway, he just reach also. We had dinner before heading back home. On sunday, met ah kiong at chinatown at 3.30pm to go for the flea market to look for presents for our friends. Anyway, after that, went to cd shops around in chinatown to look for new dramas or albums. Ya, i found and bought 1 drama which titled by justice Bao 2008. After that, again, we went to met lijin and calvin at bishan for dinner. This time, we had half-chicken rice shared among us. We had the chicken treated by calvin which we found out only when we were going home. A lot of joy always found among the 4 of us when we are together. Happy is the the word i guess. Anyway, will always enjoy that i guess. For yesterday, went to watch the mummy movie with my cousin at abt 5pm. After that, went to my army friends bbq at abt 8pm before reaching home after that at abt 11pm. Nothing much as a normal book in date where i will be at home which is today. Haha, i guess it is a routine for a book in day i guess.

Last weekend got time to catch up with my sec friends because it was a rest week from ndp rehearsal as to prepare for the ndp preview just 2 days ago. So i met my sec friends at marina square. Went out and met abt 4pm. Well, actually thought at least can don't go marina for that 1 week, but still went there which my sec friends. Anyway, some of them went home early because of work the next day. That saturday, went home quite early. Reach home abt 10pm after eating dinner at a nearby coffeshop opposite my home. But 2 days before this, i was doing stores for the Sergent major of army change of command presentation cermony in pasir laba camp. Thursday went to set up and rehearse for the actual day which is on friday. Nothing much, just that gain a day off cause friday actually a half-day off for the company. Since the few of us that help out for this till very late, our sergent major decided to give us 1 day off. Anyway, the second gym session is ok, getting to know the exercise a bit better and it is great treatment for me. For this past weekend, met kenny and ah kiong after ndp rehearsal at abt 9.30pm at ps for dinner. For sunday, met ah kiong, calvin and lijin for dinner also at abt 7.30pm. Will update additional details next week when i am back!!!!

Last sat's NE show was in a mess, the air show, parade segment and etc. Ok, it is because of the rain i guess. Anyway, the show was completed somehow. Nothing much to say abt it. Because my location of my job in ndp, we sort of went to find a shelter at the nearby tent set for the construction nearby. Waited for the rain to stop under the shelter, anyway the rain did stop somehow. So the show was able to continue. Ok, let's go on. Abt my msn messenger, if i happen to appear online during weekdays(except mon), it is my brother using my account. If status is busy means i playing game or watching drama. Abt wkd, yesterday went to watch the movie( Dark knight) with kenny and ah kiong. Quite a good and long movie to watch. Great acting by the actors inside. A lot of movies i want to watch this month. See how ba. Haha!! Oh ya, today is racial harmony day also. Today is also a birthday of my friend which we went together for attachment in beijing in my ITE days. She is feng xian. Happy 22nd birthday!! Abt the first gym lesson for physio, it is quite ok, just that the timing is not enough. i sort of rush there and back to camp that day. The coming week is another gym treatment, hopefully this time i got enough treatment time this week. Think this way it will be better for me ba. Update again. Bye!!!

I guess this second show is so far, the best show with water fountain displays, wonderful fireworks displays. As for my part, every week, it is the same old boring thing. Huh, anyway i always feel, my job is not that very important in the show. The show still runs without my team i guess. Ok, talk about yesterday, i went out with ah kiong and we saw the movie 'red cliff '. Think the movie is not that exciting after all. At some part, it is boring lol. Anyway, this month is sort of like a movie month with hellboy 2, red cliff, 2 R21 movie, X-files, batman, money no enough 2 and etc. Anyway, it's a lot of nice movies lah. And yah, i have not received the money nor the letter for the GST offset package given by the government. Bought my eyepiece for the mp4 player yesterday also. So stupid, shouldn't had bought it cause got 'Popular' vouchers which i forgot. If i know, i wouldn't have bought the headpiece yesterday. Huh, anyway it is a thing which is done. Haha! Nothing much happen in camp cause of my leg injury, i am not involved in ACCT. Quite peaceful week, physio review on wednesday tells me that i need to do more exercises on my injured ankle for it to bend it normally so i was recommended gym treatment on this coming friday. The good thing is it is recovering, getting better already. At least, can worry less i guess. Soon i will be able to do most of the physical training i guess. As next week, physical training for us will resume and if i miss the training, i will get remedial training on saturday morning meaning i cannot book out on friday nite lol! Anyway, the physiothrepytist say i should start light jog already. I shall try it on the speed training next week i guess. Tell you guys what happen on my next blog entry ba! See you guys again! Another ndp wkd BUT with something different for the rehearsal. It is the first ndp rehearsal with spectators mainly from primary schools i guess. But as i was located faraway from the stage where the performances are held, it still a boring job after all. With me located so far, got not much chance to even look after the babes or girls around spectators or the female motivators. Huh! Anyway, nevertheless, did and done my job as the seagate keepers for 2 group of performers only. My last act was at 7.15pm as usual. This is only the beginning of the NDP show. The fireworks on display was great and beautiful. I guess can look forward to this month's sat as on duty for every rehearsal i guess. I think that's the only thing ba. Haha! Anyway, this wkd also spent with my family members. Nothing ba, just went to the grand opening of the kopitiam city at the buangkok mrt station with the opening of the 24 hour NTUC supermarket there and the food courts. Started playing my FIFA 07 computer game again cause i was a bit bored i guess. Anyway, so sian need to book in by 7.30pm tonite. After so long, not really used to booking in so early. Another week for slacking for me, my ankle injury still there. Recovering very slowly i guess. Nothing much, see you guys!

This weekend is spent with my family. Nothing much. Finished watching my chinese drama of 40 episodes. Watch the euro 2008 finals also. The match between spain and germany not that very exciting after all. Anyway, going for my physio appointment again tomo from morning to afternoon. Hope my leg will recover very soon. This week, should be nothing much for me in camp but learning weapons i did not learn previously in trades course. Tomo, a lot of people will be getting money from the government for the GST package provided. Yes, i will be getting too. Haha, happy cause my july pay also coming 1 week after this. Oh yah,my alarm clock spoilt when i drop it on the floor of my bunk. Anyway, my mother bought me a new one for $2.90 this morning. Should be nothing for now! See you guys!

This weekend had rather quiet and peaceful with me staying at home on both days of my weekend. Since the ndp rehearsals had started 2 weekends ago, my weekends had been change from sat and sun to sun and monday. At least, until this year's ndp is over which is the actual day on 9 august 2008. Anyway, yesterday my cousin came over to print map of his camp which he was posted to from Tekong. Today morning, he reported to his new camp lol. Anyway, he came over and we chatted quite a bit abt his vocation as a armour vehicle driver. But anyways i was happy that we could have the time to catch up. He left at abt 3 plus and after that we went for our lunch at nearby coffeeshop. After that, he went home. And i spent the rest of my time at home watching drama series. I thought it is a rather quiet weekend i had. Ok, as for the ndp rehearsal, it is the first full dress rehearsal. They kicked it off with fireworks which i didn't expect so fast as it is the first full dress rehearsal without audience. As for my part at the seagate, the performers at my 'gate' didn't really take our cue as they had their own cue from their walkie-talkie. Anyway, i don't see the need for our existence at the 'gate'. Huh, nothing i can say i think. But anyway the ndp rehearsals continue with this kind of cork-up i guess. I guess i have nothing much. Haha! See you guys!!!

Decided to update although there isn't much to say. Ok, this weekend is quite ok with me going to the last day of the PC show at suntec on sunday nite. Cause i think it is abt the best time to go with the least amount of people. Anyway, met ah kiong at 6pm actually BUT we were late though. Anyway, i reach there abt 6.15pm while he reach later. Anyway, we went to look for what actually i was looking for. I found it after abt 1 hour as i was looking for the best price for the mp3 player which i need to resolve some of the boredom in camp. Anyway, I found not only a mp3 but a mp4 player of 1GB for only $40. Good deal right? So i bought it and ah kiong thought it is a good deal too. So he bought it too. Anyway, so far i try it, the bad thing is only the headset is not long enough and it only charges through the PC only. So far, not too bad! That's all for sunday. As for yesterday, went to watch the incredible hulk with my cousin and my brother cause my cousin say his UOB card got promotion with movie tickets at $6 at Cathay. Watch the movie at 2.50pm but we were late but reach before the movie started. Anyway, before the movie thing, my cousin went over to my home to transfer some music to his new ipod as he didn't have much songs in his PC plus he didn't have speakers to listen to the music himself. After the movie which is abt 5pm, we headed straight to grandma's place for a visit. We had our dinner there which was cooked by our grandma. Delicious home-cooked food which i had not had since don't know when. Anyway, our time was enjoyable there. I think grandma is also quite happy to see us as it's been a long time since we visited her together. Anyway, today nothing much, resting time at home and need to prepare to go back camp tonite as i have guard duty tomo. There's it for now. See you guys again!

This passed week is so slow as i slack around in my bunk. Anyway, it is because of my injured ankle. Ok, i got my medical appointments on thursday and friday. Thursday for the X-ray and Friday for the specialist appointment. For the appointments i had, so i skipped the tac-team living firing.Anyway, does not involve me. So went for the appointments, found out a small bone is broken and ligament pulled. The specialist just gave me a letter to the camp doctor and for medicine is just so gel cream and ask me to book a appointment for physio treatment at SAF military instiute. Got to book it myself, anyway i booking it today so see what date they can give me lol. A slack week for me as i spent most of time in the bunk. Actually went to medical centre in my camp, wanted to get a medical review by my camp doctor but he not around and the medic ask me to come back next week for it. Now, i got lots of questions to ask the camp doctor cause there are certain things i find it hard to do like guard duty, wearing shoes also a problem lol of the swollen ankle. This wednesday i have to do guard duty and see whether the stupid doctor is around in camp to see the specialist letter i have for him. Then i can ask the questions in my mind lol. Walking around like a limp is so difficult and hard lol. Painfully at times lol. Really sucks! Still went for ndp rehearsal yesterday. Anyway, we wasted our time there lol. My seagate 2 which involve me, a sgt and a platoonmate. It was so far for me to walk as a limp lol. It is all the way at the ntuc office building beside clifford pier in raffles place lol. We had to walk there from the marina floating platform opposite marina square. Walk back after that is also a hard and painful experience for me lol. Guess what we did there, nothing lol. Somemore, it is a open patch of grassy field which no toilet nearby and no rubbish bins. We just was placed there to see them playing with kites on the surfer boat lol. Spent 4 hours plus doing nothing, seating around on the grass fields with insects all over in the sun somemore. Got a great sun tan lol. Luckily, not needed for the rehearsal today, or i will curse and swear lol. Obviously, we will be doing nothing again. Anyway, left the rehearsal at abt 8.30pm. Called ah kiong, he's still around with kenny at citylink mall in HMV, so went to look for him and bought a dvd for kelly which she's looking for a long time already. Anyway, went to eat my dinner at funnan mall. Had pizza at the 3-in-1 restarant(KFC, pizza hut and taco bell), hawaillian pizza with reg fries and a drink. Upsize the drink but didn't got charge for it. Haha! Anyway, after that we went home ard 10.30pm ba. I reach home abt 11.40pm and went on to bathe and sleep. Today don't know going out or not. Anyway, cannot really walk for long. See how lol! Anyway, booking in on tuesday nite as i have guard duty on wednesday. The rest of my company wednesday nite cause of off day. Anyway, update again. Ya, here i am at home, at this very moment. Where the rest of my company abt 3/4 of them are training for ndp at the marina floating platform.Anyway, i had a bad ankle injury on friday after a bad fall from a height of 2m. My camp doctor examined and suspected it to be torn ligament, ask me to rest with painkillers and arrange for specialist appointment next week for further examination by the specialist. Story ended ther after that. Anyway, on friday where i fell, my whole ankle was swollen until like a ball and even walking to toilet, it was so painful. Yesterday, it was much better. Ya, back to Ndp, my ndp rehearsal ended yesterday in the noon where we not needed and ask to leave. So after that, i went out with a few of my army friends for K-box as suggested by one of them. Went for k-lunch at that point of time, spent abt 14 dollars there with a lunch box and KTV of course. Anyway, first time went out with this group of friends, quite shy i guess so sung a few songs only within that 2hr 30mins ba! Think that was not really worthwhile after all. Anyway, went home after that. Reach home abt 5.30pm ba to find out, that the ankle injury was worsen with blue-black around the sprain. Decided to go CGH for further examination by the doc there. Waited for my father to return from work, then i together with my father and brother, went there. The process there was quite fast as there is not much people. Doctor examine and say it is ankle sprain and strain only. Ask me to rest and decided to bandage my ankle to lessen the strain on my injured ankle. He also gave me inflammation tablets and painkillers for my swollen ankle. After that, went for dinner at the bus interchange food court and watch the singapore football game while eating. Reach home abt 11pm, and continue watching the second half of the game in which singapore lost the game at the 79min. So unlucky of them, they played wonderfully yesterday. Was so tired so bathe and slept at abt 1am yesterday. Anyway, next week starting i think, i will be quite relax as some time is needed for my ankle to recover. At least, i know next week i confirm relax one lol! Finally, ndp rehearsal started BUT what's for me for ndp next sat and sun, i did not do anything this week? i think this question will be answer by myself next week when i return to update! Bye!!!!

Huh, got to be confined for 2 weeks in camp because of 2 weekends burn for ndp 08. My ndp rehearsal finally started, but it is not a gd start to the series of ndp rehearsals leading to the main show on 9 aug 08. Got to burn 2 sat and sun on 2 weeks straight. Sian, like back to BMT where i got to be confined for 2 weeks straight! Anyway, i will be shooting my rifle again for my test which i failed 2 times already. This is the third time and i really hope to pass it as a first year soldier. Ok, as for ndp, i will not be doing much as i am in charge of seagate 2 which basically doing something like sentry which is like guard duty, standing by there doing nothing. Book out on sat afternoon last week, wasted money as i forgot to bring out my green IC from camp which i left the floor in my bunk. Thought i lost it, as the zip on my bag was open. Went searching for it from the moment i thought it was missing when i was taking the bus home. So careless of me, huh, so reach home abt 4.15pm that day. Sweat like mad searching for it. Anyway, can only blame myself for the careless mistake. After reaching home, went out again with my mother to sew my LCP rank as i didn't wanted to waste another going down beach road to get it done. This weekend really precious to me. The sewing took quite long as the auntie was busy with a lot clothes to sew. We waited for abt 1hr30mins for it to be done. Anyway, my mother was complaining a lot for the long wait as she wanted to rest early. Ok, for yesterday which was a sunday. Went out in the afternoon to meet kelly and ah kiong. Eat at KFC after ah kiong's revision at the library with kelly as he had a test the coming week. After that, kelly left for home at abt 5pm for dinner. Then we went to watch the movie NARNIA: Prince Caspian. The movie was ok with the length of 2 hours and 20mins. After we went home early as ah kiong was revising with his poly friends due to last min at CCK. Today, like normal book in days, i would stay at home and spent time with my mother, bought some dry food like biscuits for the 2 weeks in camp. Iron my smartest uniform for the changing of commanding officer of the unit parade. Anyway,just finish ironing it. OK, see you guys in 2 weeks! More updates waiting!!! Haha!

Weekend started late as we had living firing on saturday, but before that there's a long weekend for the rest of my company mates. Started last, last friday when they book out and they book in on last thursday only. Almost 1 whole week of break from army, a great time for them. As for me, i book in on last monday nite on vesak day. Cause i had to attend training package, as i failed the previous one. Anyway, had live firing on saturday and book out only 1pm on sunday. Weekend sucks right? Anyway, i book in this morning at 7.20am for the overall grading to show that i pass the training package which i failed previously. While the rest of the company book in only at nite. Sian huh! Anyway, i finally pass the training package which teaches you how to defend against enemy, actually some martial thing lah! The bad thing is we book out again at abt 11.30am after the grading! Actually, it is off day for me today. But anyway half day off was taken away as we were asked to leave camp cause no ration was given for lunch and dinner. So i reach home abt 1pm, so tired until i slept off until abt 2.30pm before going for lunch. Anyway, they still owe me 1 and 1/2 day of off days lol! So is this the weekend you want, going in and out of camp! Transport so expensive as i live in hougang but my camp in choa chu kang! That's why it is a so sian weekend, never even got time to meet my friends lol. Luckily did still spent some precious time with my family. Anyway, this coming weekend is almost burned as we book out only on sat at abt 4.30pm cause of some training! Huh! Anyway, becoming 1 year army personnel soon in abt 2 weeks! More relaxed now ba since participating in this year's national day. Training for us will start in june, in abt 1 week ba! Good news for this may for me, is i got promoted to the rank of Lance corporal and got extra allowance of $20.

Ok, actually this is supposed to be a long weekend until thursday nite before i go back camp. It is because i fail my ICCT which is some martial arts course which i had to pass the previous time so i taking it all over again. So tonite must book in lol. Sian! Anyway, this is a 3-day weekend for me, talking abt this weekend, i book out early at abt 6.30am on saturday cause of another company's passing out parade which we are not allow to stay in camp. Anyway, after that went for breakfast with an army friend at hougang ave 1. Long time since i went to eat, big, big changes there. Multi-storey market, we went there to eat. Actually wanted to try the 'Lor Mee' which my friend recommend, he say very nice. But the store was not open. So we had kway chap instead, not too bad! After that, bought starfruit juice for the drink. There on, we went home after that. That same time, i receive 1 sms from my sec friend asking me to go out. So i went home to rest until abt 3pm before going out again to meet my sec friend at toa payoh. After i met him, we went down to vivocity to meet the rest of the gang. We reach the earliest at abt 5pm. After that, we waited for the rest before we went window shopping in vivo. 1 of my friends bought t-shirts while the rest just follow around. Anyway, after that, we went to look for dinner and ate burger king's food for dinner. Then , we spent the rest of the evening, sitting around and talking lol. We left the place abt 9.30pm. Reach home abt 10.30pm and decided to rest early as sunday was going jb with another group of friends and was coughing like mad that day, so ate medicine and slept lol. Ya, sunday went out again. So long never went jb lol, nearly forgot to bring my passport. Luckily, thought of it before boarding the bus to woodlands. Anyway, reach woodlands checkpoint late because of that. This jb trip was so long in the making as the last time i enter malaysia is 4 months ago lol. Haha, had a lot of fun in this trip. First, having lunch at secret recipe. After that, buying dvds. Then, going to a new place which is pelangi leisure mall for bowling. It's abt 7pm after that. Then the last thing before going back is dinner which we had at a usual market which we had seafood. Wondeful stuffs we had there! Haha! I think this trip i spent most of my money on food ba. Anyway, another enjoyable jb trip i guess! I think this is another great weekend for me as i got to catch up with different group of friends. As for today, it is a rest day for me, after a joyful weekend for me. Last weekend: wonderful BUT short!!!!

Last weekend was a rush one for me as i was late for the sentosa trip for battalion cohesion day on 5/5/08. Anyway, i had to book in 2 hours earlier at 8pm. Ok, so it is quite a rush weekend as my auntie had a bungalow booked that weekend from friday and it is a mothers' day on that sunday. Lucky for me, got to book out on friday afternoon at abt 3.30pm. So i can go home and put the dirty clothes from army, then after that i went home, packed clothes for the short stay, didn't saw mother so ask my bro. Found out she went there earlier in the morning with my auntie lol! My brother and i then went to pasir ris where the bungalow was. But before we went there, we stop at white sands shopping centre for dinner. We reach there at abt 9.30pm. Then, watch tv and newspaper. Just relaxing, Haha!!!! A bit sian as my cousin i usually hang out with during these kind of family events didn't come as he was confined that weekend for field camp in pulau tekong. Nevertheless, still had fun with my little cousins and my cousin's brother, did quite a bit of catchup with them. Haha, feeling great! Brought along NDS to play and listen radio through loudspeaker cause electricity there is free. A relaxed weekend after all. Anyway, on sat nite, we celebrate mothers' day with bbq and a small buffet of food. Talking abt food, that time although the food is great, i could hardly enjoy it with my sick body. Anyway, my father also join us that nite and stayed till sunday as we found out that on sunday there's a mayday celebrations at downtown and my father had coupons for this event. Ok, it's sunday then. Sunday is a very short day as i need to book in before 8pm. Ok, the day started with my family and my uncle's family going for the mayday celebrations as both our families had the coupons. So we went there together, first thing there, we register for the lucky draw. While waiting for it to start, my father was hungry as he didn't eat breakfast at the bungalow so we accompany him to eat. Then waited for the draw to start. After the draw, we met my uncle's family again. After that, separated as we were going to different places, they were going to wild, wild wet while we were going escape theme park. We had great fun as a family that day. So long already, never go out or do something as a family. Feeling very good, almost the best weekend ever. Haha! Anyway, met my uncle's family again after that, then waited for them a while for them to eat before my uncle sent us back to the bungalow where my father and i packed as i was not very early and rushing already, different from me, my father had to rush to toa payoh for another celebration at his brother's baby 1 month celebration. I reach home abt 5pm, packed my army clothes, then bathe and left my home ard 5.45pm. Met an army friend and went back camp together. What a rush weekend huh! Anyway, it is an enjoyable one! So i certainly don't mind it at all!

A long weekend BUT not a very gd one..............(part 1)

I book out on wed 30/4 nite, reach home abt 9pm feeling sick . Though saw the Medical officer which is the doctor in my camp few days ago, telling him abt my sickness. I don know how to describe him, he's just like a gangster talking to a patient lol. Told him i got stomache and went toilet a few times, he says it is nothing. That's not the bad part, he gave me antibiotics which i taken for the few days in camp which i went to toilet almost 7 times each for tuesday n wednesday lol. Only when i reach home then, my father told me cannot take antibiotics when you have stomache. That nite, took stomache pill without the antibiotics which make me feel better. Anyway, on labour day(1 may) went out with quite a big group of ite friends. First with a group of 8 for the movie: Iron man which lasted for abt 2 hours. Great show, recommended to watch for all. After met another 2 more friends and went for lunch at lucky plaza pizza hut. 10 persons, what a big gathering of the ages, been a long time for some of us! Some in army, some studying, some working and etc. Saw her again, a bit of a surprise that she appear after the movie. Anyway, guess she's feeling bored lately. Not to mention any reason, even if i know, maybe you guys know! After what i wrote previously, actually i got to know, she minded what i say. Ok, the more i say, just does not help my relationship with us anyway. For the specific trip, she didn't even say anything to me, i also because i thought maybe it is not right time as she might still be angry. Anyway, partly it is my fault, but it is really my feelings at that point of time lol! Blogging is the place for me to spill the beans abt my feelings that time, is it not? Anyway, maybe i did not consider her feelings at that point. A big Sorry if i hurt! Ok, let's move on!! Reach home that nite abt 11pm. Ok, still not feeling very gd that nite! Though everything was ok on friday morning, but suddenly had fever in afternoon after breakfast, ate medicine after that slept a while but was waken up by mother to accompany her to raffles place for banking, so sick at that point of time, body so weak, still have to follow. Luckily for me, i took medicine so after i reach there, my body started feeling better. So after went home by bus as suggested by me, so can get to sleep in the bus. Reach home, saw papa, so ask him to help buy food for me as i was hungry. After that, watch drama series and rested my body doing so.

Sick week for me!!!!

From tuesday nite, i have been sick from camp till now. Better not, still recovering and taking medicine, very tired week for me, as my body sometimes is very weak due to sickness like fever, sore throat and cough. Doing nothing in camp, always get sick. Huh, so sian! Must find something to bring camp to ease my time and not like this week, just sleeping n sleeping until sick. Today a bit better but still weak. So sian, think i will buy word puzzle from popular bookshop to ease my time next week. Going to be a short week anyway, easier to pass time in camp when doing nothing! Haha!! Nothing much to talk, very tired as still on medication! Will update again!! See you guys!!

Just pass my 21st birthday.................................

Ya, this year's birthday celebrated almost the same as last year, just that location is different n there were lesser people as compared to last year's celebrations for me. Anyway, nothing much, went to watch the forbidden kingdom, the movie is filled with humour, laughter and fighting, the story is ok only. Ya, my another first time for eating 'Swensens' in my life. We went into the restaurant and i ordered the bbq half chicken to try and taste. Not bad as it is a well-known restaurant. Haha! Anyway, that is maybe the only special thing for this 21st birthday ba! The most disappointing thing for this whole birthday is a girl i that i like. Cause firstly i mgs her last sunday together with the rest, but she did not bother replying at all. Ok, the first mgs i didn't really mind cause i ask everyone abt the place we were meeting at and ask them to give suggestions and reply to me latest by tues. So i waited, anyway i mgs everyone late confirming location n time on friday early in the morning at abt 6am. So again i waited the reply all the way until i reach home abt 2.30pm. Most of the them reply or call me by then lol! Ok, i slept while waiting for the reply. While sleeping, kelly called, so i wake up and we started chatting abt the day's program. Anyway, i mgs her after that, sort of asking her to reply. Finally she reply, this reply was so fast and the most disappointing though she reply cause she just reply with a 'NO' answer without even giving me a birthday greeting or whatsoever. Anyway, ok at least it is a reply. Even since, she started their relationship with her boyfriend 1 year ago, it was not too bad at first, we still hang out as a group sometimes, but after her boyfriend and i enter the army, most of the time if he is not around, i guess she would be either. Anyway, i guess she's not too confident of their realtionship till now though it is already 1year plus lol. I think she's scared of ending up like someone ba! Am i saying too much? Anyway, at least this is how i feel when i typing all these! Haha, it's been so long. The feelings never really changes huh! Anyway this is almost 1/3 of this blog i going to post. I guess i can continue more, maybe i just too long-winded! I think the more i say, i will reflect more abt the feelings i had for the past year ba. Ok, back to my 21st birthday, this year, lijin and calvin was also missing, cause of a few reasons, at least 100 times more vaild than others and at least i got greeting from lijin. OK, carrying on, it is so-called a short celebration day for me as most of them having school and were released late. Anyway, it is still lucky for me, as i got to celebrate 21 st birthday, the birthday where you are officially the legal age for a singaporean, one of the most impt milestones of my life, embarking on my first year of my adulthood from teenagehood. Now all the movies can be watch and all the things i can do is now legal except of cause not alll the illegal things lah! Haha!! Hurray, oh yes!!!! Oh, and of course, i spent the morning in camp with greetings from my army friends. Thanks for all those who had wished me or sent their birthday greetings and of course not forgetting those who went out with me that evening to celebrate, a big thanks esp. to them!

Field camps stopping at the moment...... 21st birthday coming!!!

So happy! At last, field camp are over for a while, at least until national day! Haha! The last one was on last mon to wed. After whole exercise, we heard the good news: CO giving us 2 off days! Don't know when will be given but i am happy as i know i work quite hard for this field camp. Anyway, yes it is the end of field camp for the moment. Ok, a lot more duties after the field camp lol! Next event in line in my NS life is national day lol, i will be taking part. Haha, chance of a lifetime in my NS life. Anyway, let's not bother abt so much now, enjoy first ba! By the way, we also change our OC last friday, don't know whether the new one will be good or not! Ok, enough of army!! Ya, next on the list, my 21st birthday is on this friday! Should be looking forward to it! Anyway, i hope that i can get a whole day of leave so i can book out on thursday nite, to enjoy my birthday the whole day on friday. This week should be a short week then! Nothing much, just looking forward to the movie"forbidden kingdom" which i will be watching with my ite friends on my birthday. It's been a long while since i am back home...........

Ya, long time since i updated cause last week booking out, i spent very little time at home, cause there's this ite class gathering which i attended so i sort of spent abt half a day at home, so didn't even touch the com. Anyway, the seoul garden trip was a bit of a success i guess. Saw quite a few faces which i didn't see for almost a year now since we graduated last may. 1 year now, most of them in poly or starting poly this year, of course some of us like me, surfing the ns so most of the army personnel did not attend. Ok back to this normal weekend for me, except i have to book in by 8pm tonite cause of a camp from mon to wed which i will be damn sian and tired after that. I particularly hate tonite's booking in cause i know i will be in hell by tomo. It is a sad thing that i am in army as i know the whole year's of events, making me a bit sian, still abt 1 year more. Having to go through hell sequence for maybe abt 4-5 times again. Got rest is true but it is so sian lol. Need to do national duty soon, not allow to mention too much, sort of a secret. Anyway, another sian thing only that i have to go through to ORD lol. Hope i pass through this monday field camp with least injuries and stop losing things and 1 last impt thing is be healthy when i come back from the field camp on wed nite. REALLY hope for that!!!! Anyway, went to my army first buddy's 21st brithday in sengkang yesterday in the afternoon, then on to watching a movie with few of my ite friends. Ok, i got my first 21st birthday present of my life. Ya, it is from ah kiong, an NDS game! Try the games, quite ok! Today is a short day cause have to book in earlier, also i wake up late at abt 11am. Tomo just sucks. Nothing for now, bye!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, i am back after what a surprise and unexpected event happened today! Anyway, let's talk about the title of this blog i am going to post today! Went to my secondary best friend's 21st birthday bbq last week, catch up with my sec friends, esp . with my indian friend. We talk n talk, eventually talking abt the future society in singapore. The main thing that is the most worrying is the dating couples in singapore, what they are doing lol which is sex and breaking their virginity at a very young age. This trend had come very true to me, when i heard my army friends talk abt it like water and it is very easy for couples to do that, also like so common, my indian friend which is very religious so when he got to know this from his poly friends, he sort of cannot accept that the society in singapore is going that way and will be more worse in singapore's future, he say he will migrate in the future, he cannot accept such a fact. For me, i think i will try to accept it slowly ba, no choice for me, i guess i cannot leave singapore for this life! Haha! Can you imagine in the future, if you have a daughter who are a boyfriend and already dating a long time and suddenly 1 day, she tells you she's lost her virginity at the age like 16-21, you will think like you have failed to help the society in educating the young and even failed your duty as a parent. Hopefully, if i have a daughter in future, i know i will have to teach her and educate her to avoid her doing things not really right at the certain age. I think not only girls, boys too. Anyway, to all my friends out there, if you are single, next time you guys are with your partners, pls try not be so open and morally we should do it during marriage ba. And to friends having partners, if you have not do so, try to conserve your virginity for better purposes! There's always other things to do to show your love for one another, rather than having sex. Think of what you will say to your kids in future and it will be worse if you have a daughter next time. Do you want them to follow in your footsteps? Ok, back to army, coming to end of march already huh, today actually got Armour infantry platoon live firing but got cancel because of something big involving a search for a person. i guess you guys should guess it already. Anyway, i cannot reveal too much, it is sort of a secret. That's gd anyway. Got to book out and continue to enjoy my 'long weekend'! haha!! Ok, update again!!

i think i will hate the next 2 months ba, 2 weeks 1 field camp, all the way till the last one that ends in 10 april lol. The first one is 2 weeks from now 11 march lol. So sian, aiyah, sucks lol! Anyway, bored so just now, look through everyone in my friendster, actually mainly to see who is in NS, yesterday also went to look around for couples of my ite friends to see how is everyone doing in their love life. Found out a lot, some week to week got update. Anyway, know that lyon n jane are doing very gd, but unfortunately for some end up sadly i guess. Ya talking abt jane, i guess she is doing great n i guess i should be giving my blessings. Ya, 1 more thing, she's getting more n more pretty according to the photos posted on her new blog which i discover surprisingly link from lishan's blog. I guess not a lot of ppl know abt that i guess except her close friends i guess. I think she's getting more n more attractive ba n i got this feeling cause i think my feelings are still there for her i guess. YA, loving is not abt having but abt knowing she's happy. I can only give her my blessings at this point i guess. Also thinking abt my 21st birthday for my life which happens this year in abt 2 months, hopefully nothing happens on that day so i am able to celebrate it cause i think it is 1 of the milestones in life that i come so far lol! It will be a waste if i cannot celebrate it. That's hope through! Back to the same topic, army really sucks! Ya, some much for now. See you guys, take care, bye!!!

It's the shortest month of the year! Ya, another long weekend pass for me.......

Ok, to begin with, it's been quite a long time since i updated, to be exact, it's been 2 weeks. Haha! Nevertheless, i am back again. Ok, this had been a long weekend for me again, this happened 2 times in this shortest month of the year(february), i guess this is the best break i can get in army ba. I came back on wednesday nite after booking out, then went to watch 'jumper' with my brother to make sure the day was not wasted. Haha, i accomplish a lot over this long weekend, gathered with friends, family, finished watching drama, death note 1, spent a lot of valuable time with close ones. Happy, though going back to camp tonite, these few days, time really flies, maybe happy times flies faster ba, haha, good times always end so fast, haha. Time to go back to my army life though. Hope that army life also pass that fast. OK, it is also a good end to the festive mood which had happened from the start of feb. This is the last week of this feb, starting tomo, also a simple week with monday n tuesday more difficult training. wed to friday should be more relax for me ba. Update again, time to go again, bye!!!!!!

Chinese new year 2008 is here, Year of the rat!!!

Firstly, i wish everyone a very happy lunar new year! Year of the rat, ya it is my mother's year then, she was born in the year of rat, coming to 48 years this year.Not to mention, her birthday this year is today which is the second day of CNY, double happiness n celebrations for her i guess. Not getting any younger i guess, getting older n with sickness ard her, hope she can be better and have great health in the future years to come. Ok, back to chinese new year, now is already day 2, day 1 was a great day with visiting n having fun with relatives. Hope this morning for day 2 will be the same only that my brother will be working instead of visting relatives with us. Anyway, i will be getting hongbaos for him n myself then. Anyway, hope to have a wonderful n enjoyable day with my family too. Haha!! Going back to camp only on sunday, it's a long weekend for me, also for me to rest, relax n recharge for the next phrase of training in army which i am not quite involve in which is the tact team training of tanks n armour infantry vehicles. After a few days of 'long break', time to go back to army!!

I guess this break was neccassary after a field camp to recover, rest n gather back with friends and family. It was a long time in army from 6 jan-16 jan when i finally book out. My break ends today, going to book in before 9.30pm already. So sian as usual, i guess it is always when i am in the army, i guess for other ppl in my situation also ba. Haha, completed most of the stated like recover, rest n gather back with friends n family. Not bad for a short break, Haha!!! Anyway, time is still continuing with events that are suppose to happen and still the same, doesn't wait for anyone!!! Huh, anyway, have to admit a lot of things are constantly changing every min or even seconds. And people in general are adapting to the changes cause by a lot of factors, be it environment, friends, family, taxes, fees and etc... Different people have different characters, therefore sometimes people have to compromise one another to have really good relationships with one another. Therefore, it is hard to find faults whether people are wrong or right in their thinking. In conclusion, some things you can do to make yourself or others happy, but sometimes might be hard on yourself.... It is hard to explain this part n i don know why!!! Just like the previous blog entry, it is just my feelings on that day, not saying everything is not right or wrong, Yah this is what i meant...Haha, finally figure out how to write these. Therefore, feelings from time to time are different, so whoever i am with, i still feel happy.....Haha!!!!!! LOOK FORWARD again, yup this is it!!!!

Memories of sec school...................

Yah, just yesterday i went to my previous sec school, yah it is already a closed down school(Braddell-westlake sec sch) Merge with guangyang sec in 2007 already. The last batch of students is in 2006. anyway, i graduated in 2005 when i took 'o' levels that year. Went there cause went to visit my grandma so just detour over there, very different, rundown n deserted place but the memories still stay as always, the fun, joy n laughter always remain in my memory. The CCA where i learn the most n had the first of my adventures, joining the scouting family. i enjoy myself happily over the years in my scouting life in my sec school. It is a sad thing that my sec school had to come down into history books so early, only 6 years of history. How i wish i could go back every teachers' n founders' day to celebrate together, aiyah!!! Wasted lol!! Just a look back, makes me miss the life i had there, with less love troubles n desperate for L.O.V.E, as friends were more boys than girls lol and worry about money less cause didn't have to care abt birthday presents n gifts for special occasions. Cause we just have to have a gathering in coffeeshops, talk under void decks, play sports like soccer, badminton. Those were the days where my friends and i were the money savers gang, we spent as little as possible, so memorable for me. i just should have enjoy more during that time. Things really change when people around you are different. Thinking back, really did not treasure the time there. Yah , this is human characteristics lol, lost then know how to treasure. Cannot travel back in time to regain lost time, another sad thing huh!! Haha!!!! update again , see you guys!!! haha!!

Yah, where did i stop? Yah, this blog started because of the GEP project i attended in Beijing. It's been a long year huh, I am in the army now, totally different from what i was doing 1 year ago in research labs learning all abt science, chemicals n etc. Army for me till now, as i repeat, it just sucks, the training and all. Anyway, i am now training to prepare ATEC in which is like fighting war in reality which means preparing for ops and mission. In doing so, that's what ns life is abt in the army, finishing ATEC, 3/4 of army life is abt this. Anyway,i gone through 2 field camps this dec, 1 live firing n another one coming this sat. So sick n sian of it already. Huh, this is the army n i am army personnel and this is my responsibility. Sian , sian................. My sort of long weekend ends tonite with me going back camp on a christmas nite, isn't it sad, spending christmas nite in camp, haha, aiyo, sucks!!!!! Anyway, my blog's first birthday n anniversary. Still a long way to ORD, 1 year n 6 months, aiya, aiyo, so, so sian... Besides that on my mind, another is back to the same thing again: it's all abt love. Sometimes, i think abt this topic and i start to worry, will i be alone for the rest of my life? Oh why, is it this question in my mind. The answer is obvious right. Let me tell those of you out there that don't know, it is because people around my age already having girlfriend or ex-girlfriends and till now i having none. Very, very the sad right? Anyway, something tells me, i need to some sort change my character towards the girls i like huh!!! Thinking abt this, makes me feel confused, cause i know this is hard for a person like me. And the question is how? HOW? HOW? When will my happiness come n the girl come to me? Sound so desperate huh!! Haha, actually it is so lol. It is the truth n it is burning in my heart for a very, very long time. Anyway, back to my blog, since i started 1 year ago, it shall celebrate more anniversaries like this and it will continue on and on, years after years, decades..... Ya, thinking back 1 year ago this time, i was in China, beijing, xiangshan doing attachment of lab work. I really miss those days lol, learning new things abt science each day n relaxing with the GEP group of mine. Thinking abt those days, this was how my blog which is yongchiang2006 started abt 1 year ago n before that was me getting back my internet acccount which i sign up for: singnet broadband. Looks like it is a history of this blog from the start even before i started going to china for my attachment, i started the blog first but till now most of the things in this blog started from the trip: the feelings, reactions, reflections n etc. All this started from the memorable GEP trip to China. This year for me as i entered the army is very different from school life. I guess i really hate army. Time is almost up, can't really explain much, going out soon to book in tonite. Explain more after 2 weeks, haha..........................

Pass out of trades course already yesterday where i became an armour trooper officially. The black beret looks nice on me. Anyway, it is not easy to get the black beret i guess, i come a long way, almost 6 months into army life already. And i still don't like it, but too bad it will be my career for the next 1 year 6 months i guess. Sucks man, aiyah! Passing out a bit different from the BMT passing out parade, with the armour vehicles drive pass, joy rides for parents n secondary weapons introductions to the parents that came. It seems a long day than the previous passing out parade. Anyway, today booking in again. Sucks right? It is a damn short weekend for me. Anyway, they still owe me 1 off day, still to be return, don't know when will i get it. See how then, army life continues for me, huh, sian!! Tough life starting in my NS life, how leh, still must continue lol! Will update again ok!!! Off again!!!

Next week confine because of live firing, first time live firing for me in the trades course, i will be firing a new weapon i learn few weeks ago. Anyway, trades course finishing means that i will be getting my black beret and this signifies i am a armour trooper and tough life will start as we will first embarked on section training as a infantry unit first before the armour vehicles come in, by then we will be training as the 'real' vocation i am really in which is armour infantry. Life will be different after trades course, it will be much more tougher as i expect. i already am expecting for the worse. I will be looking forward to the next book out which is the nite before deepvali which will be next month 7 nov 2007. Long week for me from tonite when i book in. Can only complain i guess, after it is the government's order for S'porean Men to serve 2 years of national service to the country. No choice, Sian, Sian and very sian lol. Update again next month, so long...........Bye!!!!!!!!

Going into 4th week of trades course......................

Learn a number of weapons in trades course already! The sucks thing in trades course is only SOC i guess. But anyway, army is like that i got nothing to say. Army life just sucks to me. Like learning extra weapons not in my scope as a gunner, getting scolded for small things as a company. Anyway, let's skip the army things as it might seem boring to some of you which are not in the army. It's almost 6 months since i graduated from ITE huh!!! Time really flies outside but not in camp. I guess the L.O.V.E part in me had not disappear in my heart. Still will think of her, looks like she's getting prettier. Still will look at her profile in friendster and look out for updates of her despite long time no see. Think she's doing good in whatever she's doing now and happy. I guess i still waiting for that someone. Sad huh!!!! In army, seems like more couples than people which am single. Harsh facts of life, always appearing right in front of me. Got nothing to say leh!!!

Going back camp lol, holiday ends, time really flies

It's time to return to my workplace which is the army where long working hours are found on training both physically n mentally. It just sucks. It is the last day of my long holiday and tomo marks the start of my trades course and a officially start of my army life cause BMT is just the basics. Hate to say abt the posting cause i should be staying in the same camp just that it will be a 5-day work week from next week meaning i will return home on friday night, looking forward to that. Time really flies esp. holidays. Looking forward to the next POP where i am supposed to have the black beret as my headdress: 15 nov 2007 is the date. Still long though that will be after trades course.Haha!!! Trying to look postive always in army, it is like so stressful. Sian, see how ba. After all, still must go back by the law. Sian, sian n sian!!!!!!
